Remember than protondb is compatibility with proton (so with linux), but some games has great protondb compatibility but controller issues which means it can not be so great (by default) on steam deck. So other than protondb also read if valve verified the game

Fair comment. To be honest with you, I just buy games blindly nowadays. If I can’t get it working, I just get a refund. In most cases switching to proton experimental fixes the issue. I’ve only really used proton GE in a handful of games

Search for webp converter on google - plenty available and you can convert pretty much any animated file into webp

I got all of them! But do you know if Proton DB and HLTB can be seen in the Steam store as I browse? Like if I see a game on my wishlist can I see the proton DB status and hours it takes to beat the game?

I don’t think you can filter the Home Screen. You’d have to go to the library if you want to only see installed games.

id recommend doing a cheat engine tutorial. very easy way to learn.

@@PhantomOSX pretty much. Memory Deck Is super simple in terms of what it can and can't do. It can not save cheat tables. It also does not have a memory viewer, as well as any type of debugging options so you can't make scripts. the reason i said to learn how to use cheat engine is that there is tons of info on how to find cheats for yourself. its a pretty fun thing to learn and pretty rewarding. the biggest issue in my opinion with memory deck is that you cannot save a cheat you have found and freeze it. so if you want to find another cheat the old one is gone. Mainly memory deck is used for gold, items or xp as far as i can tell.

@@ephensteve8812 thanks for the explanation. I'm surprised something like that hasn't been developed yet but I assumed As Time progresses it'll become more advanced like you've mentioned. If I'm not mistaken I used to do something similar with GameShark back in the day where you can imput certain codes and it would change the game and a certain way to unlock cheats.

No, that would be awesome though! It is more of a quick reference tool. Some people might find it easier to just bring up the website on your phone or computer instead

Not sure how useful the proton badge is. I would need to already have the game in my library for it to show the badge. I would have already done the research before purchasing the game so why would I need the badge anymore? The badge would be useful in the store so I know if I should buy the game or not.

Make sure you updated decky and CSS loader to the latest version. You may also want to restart the steam deck if it’s not loading correctly

I did a separate video about how to install them, but that video is outdated and I took it down - I’ll be doing an updated video soon. All you need to do is download decky loader. It’s really easy - literally just download it and click run.
