I am an IMG from Georgia and I just want to know if my internship certificate from Georgia can count as an internship or do I need one from my home country? Hi, thank you. Internship completion from any place is sufficient given that med school is recognised under ecfmg. (Which also holds the same prior to taking Amc1). No need to repeat internship in home country. Take care and best wishes.

I did standard pathway. I will upload my next video on the costs involved. Can’t really say which is easier or better or affordable. But standard pathway is direct pathway to Australia, whereas competent authority pathway is an indirect pathway, which involves costs of working/ living atleast a year in UK, and then transitioning to Australia.

Hi, thank you. Amc and fmge are completely separate entities. Not correlated at all. Need ECFMG verification of your medical school degree. Your med school should be in the list of ecfmg recognised med schools. If not in the list, there is a way ur medschool has to liaise with ecfmg. Need to read the steps. I haven’t read it thoroughly before. Need recognised registration (anywhere) if you have worked post internship.

Hi Neetu, my suggestion would be not to prepare for the exams right now as it is too early . Your focus should be on enjoying the journey of your medschool and embrace every new challenge. Hi Amit, Hope you are doing good. There is a different concept of PG here as compared to India or other home countries. Here ,it is called training programs. So after AMC exams, you will work as an RMO for 1-2 years, then take the exam for the training pathway and get enrolled into a training program.

@ nothing comes in easy. Probability of job offer increases after Amc 2 than Amc 1. There are many other factors involved whether someone gets a job: CV, work experience, interview prep, recency of practice, luck etc. Whether you take Amc exam or not, is completely upto your discretion.

Yes, but u should make sure you have “recency of practice “ which is a desirable but not necessity for job. If recency not possible , then go for cpd activities and Amc clinical
