My resolve to not play Simic weakens every day

Arcades is eating things and in ways he absolutely does not deserve, why does Simic keep getting the toys Izzet so desperately deserves.

I have to be honest, Judith, Carnage Connoisseur scares me the most. Make an imp token that deals 2 damage to EACH opponent when it dies, or instants and sorceries you cast get lifelink and deathtouch, each time you cast an instant or sorcery. So I hope you have wondered what Electrickery and End the Festivities looked like with deathtouch because it’s one for one to three mana, if you are one of her opponents, all your creatures die in the most one sided of board wipes.

I'm more interested in making this the commander and using cards that pump it's toughness up, using assault formation or bedrock tortoise to assign combat damage with toughness and enchanting it with aqueous form for good measure to make it unblockable so i can 1-shot kill with commander damage

So long as you can land a hot I suppose your be able to dig for one of your pieces, but having Arcades give all your walls the ability to attack is just much more convenient and consistent. Of course, Arcades’ biggest weakness is that if he dies your deck just sorta freezes until he gets back.

I just realized that with Tetsuko Umezawa, you can make the 0 power defender becomes unblockable and hit for 1 but draw whatever toughness the creature has.

That mole god may as well be the most fucking bullshit in the most set; not because it's the most powerful, but because the logic behind the card doesn't make absolutely any sense. It's four mana for "whenever this card attacks, either your opponent takes 8 damage or you make an additional battle phase". Who the hell thought something like that would be fair!?

So Mald, not sure if anyone told you this. Since the effect that lets you draw cards equal to booty size is in quotations, that is a trigger you can stack multiple times on the same creature. 4 mana for draw 15, how about 8 mana for draw 30? Also we're in Simic, so we will only be paying 2 mana for that ability each time.

Simic introduced me into the Magical Wizards that weren't of Waverly Place, and I thought I had completely broken up with them when I discovered Rakdos. They taught me that I don't need to run Cultivate, nature's lore, three visits, etc land fetches. I just a sol ring, demonic tutor and a dream that the blue players don't view me as a threat until game 2. This amalgam is the first time I have looked back, and damn, that boy-fish-lizard got a booty. Time to find those land fetchers

I was talking about this with my friend the other day, and making him notice that most of the "toughness damage" synergies are in white more than green, with little to no payoffs like that in blue; all in all, I'm not sure that losing one support color for an effect that requires 4 mana each turn is gonna be ideal. It's surely gonna be very strong in Arcades, though. On the bright side, people can finally play Turtle Tribal without having to put Archelos as the commander. : P
