Bro, I know words don't do much in the face of the terror of someone finding you irl, but keep Rocking Muk!! I want to clarify that the following is 100% my opinion/experience: It's definitely good that you made a video that you can point new people to if they you or they get harassed. But this is the limit that you should validate this imo. Don't like this comment, or validate it at all (I don't want to create *more* drama for you.) But these people don't know how to *Make* so they try to *Take.* Don't give them the attention, it's what they want. Keep just owning them. P.S. Nike has always done this sh*t. I knew him for years in DnT (his guild that died cause he sucks at actually communicating with people) and he says he was everything from a Lawyer, to a Game's Journalist, to impersonating an actual ANet Employee on Twitter, and then feigns ignorance when he's caught red-handed. And his brain-drain followers just go along with what he says because they, like his personality, don't care if he's right or not. They just have no idea how to self-validate, so they yell and scream at something else to avoid fixing their own shitry lives for one more day. *In reality, Nike is none of these things. He's a child who just lobbs grenades into a community and watches the ants that he lights on fire dance.* And honestly Darren's gives me the same vibe. In it for the tiny $ GW2YT brings not the game or community. There's a reason he's already been removed from ANet's Partener Program for lots and LOTS of racist comments. I'm not for censoring people but honestly, I have no idea why ANet allows people like this to continue playing their game at all. Doesn't seem like it adds much to me tbh. If Darren, Nike, Whoever TF is jealous of you next makes a response to this, I highly just recommend ignoring it entirely. You've said your piece. If they really wanted to have a conversation about this they could. But they don't. That just want to try to change others because they don't want to change themselves. 😁

My dad was and is very protective of me, especially when I was a child. When I was just getting into GW2 I wanted to learn about all the builds and things I could do. So my dad did his research to find someone that he deemed as safe for me to watch this way my life would be positively influenced (he is very picky). "Safe" included the typical PG and well informed about GW2 but also being responsible and open to opinions. This is when my dad found muk, small streamer at the time but it doesn't matter how small you are to have a positive influence. Years later I'm on my own account and still continue to watch and support Muk because I appreciate what he does for the community. So I continue to watch him on KZbin (yes my dad would still kill me if he saw me on twitch lol), and not just GW2 but all variety stream, I even engage with chat sometimes and Muk's chat is the only chat I have ever engaged with bc I trust his community that he built. Im not saying one should just listen to me, (yes I acknowledge I'm a just nobody here), but trust me, a good person doesn't randomly get up one day and say I'm going to be "evil". Good to know your Dad takes internet safety and influence seriously but I hope he's not over controlling. There's a balance in there and some parents don't understand that. As someone with a VERY controlling mum you need to make it clear when they've crossed the line. How they handle you setting boundaries may determine whether they're worthy of being your parent. Unfortunately in my case my controlling parent turned out to also be completely batsh*t crazy. But time it right. If you're still living with them it has to be handled more delicately. If you're not then you can be more hardline and you don't have to deal with your parent's temper tantrum. I hope I don't seem like an obnoxious twit telling you how to live your life or something (and maybe you've already figured out everything I brought up) but if I'm able to spare someone some of the BS I've had to deal with, with 2 minutes writing a KZbin comment then why not lol.

The fact that you were potentially blacklisted on those peoples channels could be quite telling too. Thats like peak pettyness. Some Twitter cancel culture BS. I miss the age where we could sit down together and have a rational discussion about our problems instead of starting hate mobs behind peoples backs. Anyway! Keep mukking and lukking. Try not to let the petty drama drag you down too much, because theres no winning in trying to please people who want to see you fail :) Hope it resolves fairly soon and your mental can get some rest.

I am sorry this happened to you Muk, Frankly i also do not like embeds and i disagree with how it was embedded in GuildJen. But this is such an incredibly small matter that does not justify all this. It is insane. I am quite sure that Darens did not realize how bad this could go and he is only making videos on stuff he thinks are interesting as content. Nike is inexcusable. He just tried to cause drama ever since he got kicked from the Anet program with outright lies that he constantly doubles down on. His videos about addons are equally misinformed and just drama educing. I am amazed that people like Teapot and the rest in hardstuck still associate with him. Hey, Mukluk I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you. I’m a middle-aged housewife in New England, late to gaming in general. I’m in Guild Wars 2 because nearly 12 years ago a bunch of friends of mine said you can play this game and it has a Mac client. For the next 5 years, I spent time as a horrible gamer. My group was very patient with me. My OG character has nearly 10k in deaths. Then I found you and Ayin and, later because of you, others who enhanced my abilities. I got better over time. I no longer die all the time. In fact people who used to shield, protect, and resurrect me are now getting the benefit of me doing the same to them. I don’t watch live streams because I have lots of Mom stuff to do. I’ve even switched to a pc box after 35 years of Mac loyalty so I could continue in GW2. (Ok my other software switched to cloud based and platform independent so I’d not loose 30 years of that software). Why am I telling you all this? I want you to realize how much of a positive influence you have. A few years back, you came out and discussed the finances of your channel for the purpose of full disc disclosure. You didn’t have to, but you did. This speaks to your character. The above video speaks to your character. I’m grateful for you because you make my hobby more enjoyable. A video from you every Tuesday makes me smile. Thank you.

Don't let yourself get dragged down by this. Treat yourself, do something nice, have fun... after all, that's the main reason we all should be playing video games.

TLDR : 1. Muk and GuildJen agree to embed Muk's stream in GuildJen's website 2. Angry twitter/reddit kids are being angry about anything they hear about, they make videos filled with missinformations and false-truths and start harassing and insulting Muk 3. Muk, one of the content creators who've been carrying Guild Wars 2 on their shoulders for years, is forced to make this video to explain what happened and to remind people that harassing and insulting others is not cool. Hope things get better for you Muk, I don't agree with the principle behind auto-play embedding because of all the trauma I have from those websites with loud music or loud ads auto-playing and destroying my ears, but considering how much you've been doing for GW2 one would think that you deserved better than tanking that kind of useless Twitter-worthy drama

I remember when people said Jenn and Vallun were racists. I couldn't find a single piece of evidence about that. Thank you for confirming it was all nonsense. Why did Vallun lose partner if not that?

Using a slur does not make you a racists but you will probably lose partner. Context matters.

@@theblackspark2644 Calling someone a monkey isn't a slur. Context matters. If you are doing it specifically because they are black and you are trying to use it as a slur, that's one thing but we say things like "its so easy a monkey could do it" and that is not in anyway a slure against black people. Stop tone policing every single word that people say.

From what I UNDERSTAND Vallun, in a moment of rage after being farmed for hours in wvw, told someone the equivalent of "k y s". Obviously not ok and not behavior I support, but I believe that is why he lost his partnership.

@@theblackspark2644 Saying "Go back to your cage monkey" in the chat of a black streamer absolutely makes you a racist. No two ways about that one.

This is why I don't consume Darens content - clickbaity and reactionary as hell and then hides any feedback when there's legit criticism. Sorry this is happening to you Muk, you have my support.

I wish people cared half as much about real world issues as they did about meaningless things on the internet, but I'm truly sorry you're being attacked for trying to grow your business through healthy colaboration. You've always been one of the best leaders in GW2's community and have been a constant force of positive growth for the game. STAY STRONG. Know that you regularly improve the lives of others, and you are loved and respected by the sane members of the community. Thank you for everything you do!
