mashallah sis you are SO stunning!! 😍We actually reverted around the same time and I stumbled across your tik toks and I’ve been following your journey since. Honestly you have impacted me more than you will ever know. Hearing that you too struggled with salat and how you eventually taught yourself really gave me hope that I could learn how to pray myself also. It was because of you that I actually started praying because for months I avoided it after reverting because I thought it would be too hard and I should take things slow but to see you praying and already wearing hijab really gave me the kick I needed to start setting aside time to learn Arabic and the different steps to prayer. You are someone I look to as inspiration for where I hope to be in a few years. I love how unapologetic and brave you are about wearing hijab and sharing your story. Hey Kishama, I’m not sure if you’ll see this or not, but I’m a Muslim in Australia too. I live in a small town, and for years, it’s been so hard for me to wear the hijab or dress modestly. I always get told by some of my MUSLIM friends, “why are you so religious? You’re doing too much,” and they made me feel so uncomfortable and not confident in myself and my own clothes. I keep wanting to take off my hijab, and wearing clothes in a “western way.” But finding you made me feel so much better. Seeing you wear the hijab and dressing modestly made me feel beautiful and confident too. It’s helping me with my own confidence. Thank you and thanks to Allah for showing me you. Hii maybe you can start doing something you love. If you feel comfortable wearing hijab, or atleast start wearing modesty clothes, just do it. But if you feel uncomfy, you dont need to force yourself. Take your time, and wear hijab when you're ready. Because when you wear something you like, you'll never feel sorry for wearing it

How Does One Become a Muslim or return to Islam? One becomes a Muslim by believing in the Two Testifications of Faith and uttering them with the intention of leaving out blasphemy. The Two Testifications of Faith are: I testify that no one is God except God ( Allah ) and I testify that Muḥammad is the prophet of God. One has to believe that the Creator, Allâh, exists, and is not similar to anything. He is the only Creator and the only One Who deserves to be worshipped. He does not need anything and everything needs Him. God has Attributes of perfection that befit Him and any imperfection is not attributable to Him. Any imperfection, such as ignorance, place, direction, body, soul, organ, children, change or weakness, is not attributed to God. The rule is simple: Whatever you imagine in your mind, God is different from it. God sent messengers the first of them was Adam and the last one was Muḥammad. All the messengers, including Jesus and Moses, were truthful, ordered their people to believe in One God, Allāh, and not to associate any partner with Him. Hence, their Religion was the same: Islam. There is also a hadith in Musnad Ahmad which states, while the Prophet (peace be upon him) was speaking to Amr ibn al-As, “O Amr, didn’t you know that Islam wipes away all of the sins that one performed before it.

I’m currently thinking to revert, and it became such a strong conviction in me after about a week of researching. I would’ve but there’s still that thing in my mind going…”what would people say…” especially having grown up in a bubble of Christianity. Covering the head But if a woman has long hair, is that her glory? Her hair is given to her for a cover. Corinthians 11:15 If a woman does not cover her head, let her cut her hair. The coming of Muhammad You still have a lot to say, but you can't stand it right now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will glorify me. I still remember the first day I put my hijab on. The feeling is absolutely indescribable. Everything surrounding me felt so serene and calm. My nafs (inner self) was so happy and content that I was finally doing what I was guided to do. While I’ve always been a Muslim, I was never taught how to pray while I was growing up. It wasn’t until I was 17 where my nafs (inner self) was sobbing and begging me to start practising Islam. I wanted to put the hijab on immediately but I made myself be patient and steady in the process. I taught myself how to pray, pray on time, and build that connection with Allah through prayer and it took me around 3 months alhumdulillah. I can really relate to your revert story, Kishama, as someone that has always been Muslim. I hope you know that your revert story is not only important to other reverts & non-Muslims, it’s also so important for your fellow Muslim brothers and sisters to hear. Saudi cleric Abdullah Al-Mutlaq recently sparked controversy after saying polygamous men aren't obligated to tell their first wife of a second marriage. His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Mutlaq is a member of the Senior Scholars Committee in the Kingdom and a former member of the Permanent Committee for Research and Iftaa. He is an advisor to the Royal Court. He also heads the Department of Comparative Jurisprudence at the Higher Institute of the Judiciary. The "misyar" marriage often done in secret is fast pervading Saudi society. The practice, usually a temporary alliance in which the wife waives some conventional marriage rights such as cohabitation and financial support, has been legally permitted in the conservative Muslim kingdom for decades. This means that when you marry a Muslim man you are entering into an open relationship - however open only on his side not yours. The last caliphate was the Ottoman Caliphate and the caliph was the Sultan. He was the leader of Sunni Islam, similar to the Pope in Christianity. The Sultan kept imprisoned a group of kidnapped Christian women who were his sex slaves and this was known as the Ottoman Imperial Harem. They were guarded by castrated black male slaves. The Sultan could rape these women whenever he chose to. This continued until 1922. No major Islamic leader or organization has denounced this, criticised this or denied this. As a Muslim woman, how do you feel about all this? There is something else which I would like to point out. Muslims consider the Quran to be a miracle. One feature of the book believed to be miraculous is the expressiveness of its verses, as it is claimed they are too eloquent to be written by a human. “And if you all are in doubt about what I have revealed to My servant, bring a single chapter like it, and call your witnesses besides God if you are truthful. But if you do not do this, and you can never do this, then fear the Fire which has been prepared for the disbelievers and which shall have men and stones for fuel” (Quran 2:23-24) This is Surah 109: قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ لا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ وَلا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ وَلا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ وَلا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ Say, “O disbelievers. I do not worship what you worship. Nor do you worship what I worship. Nor do I serve what you serve. Nor do you serve what I serve. You have your way, and I have my way.” It’s needlessly repetitive and anyone could write that, in Arabic or English.

@@KishamaMeridian I love you more!!!You are litterally so amazing i have always loved our religion and have worn the hijab since i was 3 as i felt so connected to it and would litterally wear it EVERYWHERE and refused to take it of even during summer which got my teachers "worried" although it was obviously racially aimed as they said to my mother and father to give me "permission" although i had clearly stated MULTIPLE times it was my desicion and that they themselves didnt even want me to wear the hijab as i was so young.Anywaysss thats a story for another day but i have always worn it and felt comfortable however i always felt a bit odd as all the girls would be wearing trendy clothes and i thought i couldnt but then i found you and realized i could and i now feel 100000x more confident and beautiful all thanks to you so thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel so happy and confident in myself 💕
