as long as the HDR works out of the box im fine with this. I do like the silver for the MPG Trim but black is better for dark environments. The popup thing will piss me the fuq off though to be honest, doesn't matter if its every 16 hours. My Alienware did this and had to return the monitor several times to dell until i had an updated model since i couldnt firmware update the thing.

So you're saying that the MSI is brighter than the Alienware? Have you done any side by side comparison?

I have an rx 6800xt was thinking about getting the mag 341cqp. It is the only mag version that is firmware upgradable. However it is a gen 1 panel. Do you think this one is worth getting over the the ultrawide? Its 830 dollars vs 900 dollars. Btw my current monitor is the cooler master tempest gp27q. Great monitor for hdr but i really want to try out those oled blacks.

I loved the gp27q. I haven't tried any of the msi ultrawides, but I did try the other Gen 1 oled ultrawides and they were great. The newest Gen definitely get brighter, but I have had great luck with msi monitors.

Loving mine but I'm getting weird ABL issues where the brightness drops dramatically during full-screen videos even at hdr400 ir sdr? Not sure why? Anyone else having this issue?

MSI confirmed these monitors will get updates at computex, so this is the cheapest model with firmware..WIN.

I updated my ASUS firmware after years. guess what, now the FANS blow and the thing is useless.. I would say monitor firmware is a bit of a gimmick.

Lmao shit everyones getting scratches on there alienware monitors mine had no scratches at all but was completely defective had flickering red green an blue lines on the screen had to return it immediately.

It definitely seems like it to me. On the alienware I used it on 85 brightness, on the msi I use 70
