Got drawn to this watch. Bought it used for $1100 in perfect condition with black and brown original straps. So it matches the shoes and the belts just fine. The perfect everyday office watch. Love it.

The movement is beautiful. It has Geneva waves. Highest level of craftsmanship at that price point.

what are geneva waves? the lines on the small seconds?

Geneva waves or stripes are are the wave-like decorative stripes found in the movement (not the face) of the watch. They’re usually appreciated through a display caseback when you turn the watch over. @@turboZ3

@@turboZ3 The "wavy stripes" looking surface on the movement plates. The Tangente's movement is also covered in rhodium. The finishing is done pretty well for its price range.

@@turboZ3 Stowa makes an identical looking watch in 36.5 (Antea). This might the size that works for you in this style. Stowa is also one of the original manufacturers of this watch design (bauhaus). They have legit company lineage too, as the original owners son passed in onto Jorg, and then Jorg passed the company onto the current German watch manufacturer.

I can't decide if I go for a Tangente or a Metro. They look both so stunning.

If you like bigger watch face I think the Metro looks better. Tangente I would go for the smaller watch face because its lug to lug is too long ...

What is the lug-to-lug measurement? 50mm?
