more and more REAL watch enthusiasts pay attention for nomos. that´s great! nomos stands for pure and simple design and class + great craftsmanship. the simple design is at the same time nomos´problem. the present world is full of informations, pictures, voices, noise, loudness. this made the present mankind lose the sense for simplicity. the poeple just don´t understand this simplicity :D it sounds paradox, but it isn´t! Nomos is just mindblowing and pure class of watchmaking!

In my small modest collection, my Tangente is the jewel. Everything you said about the craftsmanship is true and then some. It’s virtually impossible to find another watch hand-made, with an in-house movement (including the escapement), at anywhere close to this price. By the way, all Tangentes are 35 mm, not 30. To those who say it is over priced, they simply don’t understand or fully appreciate the watchmaking process and the subtleties thereof. This is also considered by many to be one of those watches that shows the owner knows his watches better than most.

I own a Tangente, and I absolutely love it, particularly the simplicity of the Bauhaus design. Hand-wound movements are my favourite anyway, so the Tangente falls right into my wheelhouse. Great value for sure! Mine is an older model (2011) but the case is 37.5mm wide, so more to my liking than your 30mm model. The only negative things I would say are that it doesn't feature a quickset date (you have to repeatedly move the hands back and forth between 11:45 and 12:00 midnight to change the date) and that because of the long lugs, it doesn't fit every wrist. Fortunately for me, I have a 7.4" wrist, so it fits great in my case. By the way, I'm not German but I believe Stowa is pronounced "Shtova". At least that's how I've heard others pronounce it. OK so the movement is not going to win any beauty awards, you can tell it’s only adjusted to a few positions and there are a couple of very minor flaws - but for the grand sum of £105 this surely takes the prize of best value watch ever. @@timmihendrix1 - One thing I’ve learned about watches is that it’s a very personal choice. We all have different tastes but that’s fine - it would be boring if we were all the same. The main reason I got a PD (specifically the 1690), is that you get such a high spec for the price. For me personally owning an example of the timepiece this tries to resemble is great as I can wear the PD on a daily basis which is 90% identical to my Rolex. But that’s missing the point - the main thing is ‘bang for buck’ and I don’t think there’s better out there - but not any PD - specifically the 1690!
