I am so so lucky & excited to have secured tickets for their Manchester concert in 2025. Will be the end of an era once the band stop, but we need to remember Jeff's age. Melanie is incredible with her operatic voice. We love you Jeff - best live shows ever

Saw them Wed 10/23. Loved this band since I first heard them in HS in the 70s and been to hundreds of shows but stars never aligned to see them live until this show. Not necessary of course but had some shrooms around so eating a gram before the show was a must. Good decision because the concert was top notch and uplifting anyway. Seats were one floor section back from the stage. Hit after hit and the performance, visuals and especially the sound quality were off the charts. Jeff Lynne is a genius and it was cool how he let others have the spotlight. Wife and I went to a restaurant/bar in the plaza near the arena and it was great to enjoy the afterglow of the show before the Uber home. Awesome night.

Hi Steve, I was in row 9 center stage end of the row and you are right fantastic concert. My wife was not familiar with them but after said it was top 3 for her and we have been to many shows. I am a heavier rocker so personally I rank the show in my top few with Kiss NYE 1999 at the Palace Kiss played from about 9PM until after midnight. Ozzfest when Black Sabbath reunited around 1999? The Guess Who with Cummins and Bachman late 90's. They did every Guess Who and BTO hit. This ELO show was right up there. The difference BTW 19 and 20 songs was I think that Fire on High was a partial intro into Livin' Thing which is why the violin player was front and center. Some don't consider Fire on High as a complete song during the show.

I saw ELO initially in 1977 at Maple Leaf Gardens, I barely knew their music and it was an awesome show. I caught them a few years later for the spaceship tour and they had a new act opening which was Meatloaf, both were good. A few other bands I tip the hat to for incredible shows would be AC/DC, Rush, Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, Supertramp, Queen and Springstein. Worst shows were the Stones and Aerosmith (on drugs). If you like ELO watch the KZbin Documentary on the Travelling Willberries making that masterpiece album, lots of humor and behind the scenes details.

I saw them in Denver 5 days before you. Terrific show. Don't forget, they also performed "10538 Overture" the very first ELO tune, originally performed by "THE Electric Light Orchestra" Sadly, he didn't perform my favorite song either, not a hit, but still a well known song titled "Wild West Hero." And, or course, Jeff Lynne being known as a perfectionist, you'd KNOW his band would be excellent. You mentioned working at a radio station in Saginaw, MI. Saw him in New York ni 1977 (the original spaceship tour), and 1982 (Time tour) when I was a teenager, and most recently, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and Atlanta twice. The earlier "recent shows", he ended all of them with Roll Over Beethoven. One of my favorites he didn't sing this time was a Travelling Willbury song, Handle With Care, which he sang with Dhani Harrison. Aweome! So bummed he is done touring as I have been a huge fan almost my entire life! Thanks for the review!

I think ‘A new world record’ was my first album I bought too - funny to hear this too lol! I saw this tour in Portland at the end of August. GREAT SHOW! I saw him, I think in 2020, from row 6, not far from where you were. His voice has noticeably changed in the past 5’ish years. He acts older. His voice wasn’t as strong as it was a few years ago, but it was absolutely amazing and I can’t believe I got to see ‘him’ twice before he was done, when I never thought I’d ever see him. I wish he played twilight. I wish he played Calling America as well, but that was struck from the set list after the Seattle date. I wish he played Tightrope as he did at the Hollywood Bowl. He didn’t, but it is what it is. His band is TIGHT. They were great! The sound, overall, was amazing! Long live Jeff Lynne and this little band called ELO. Awesome!!!

I also was at Little Caesars for Jeff Lynnes Final Show here in Detroit. I too would agree 100% that this was the greatest concert I have seen, and I have been to hundreds of concerts over my lifetime. The closest would be Neil Diamond c.1977 at Pine Knob. I saw ELO here in 2018 & 2019 at LCA, and the main concert closed with Mr. Blue Sky and Roll Over Beethoven was the encore. Again, these were fantastic shows. Ian Hornal the background singer also is a guitarist over in the UK and has several CD's out. And finally, I saw the original ELO back on March 4, 1976 at Cobo Arena and can honestly say that Jeff Lynne has to be rated one of the greatest writer, producer, and artist of our generation and for ages to come. And, as he ends his touring just a heartfelt "THANK YOU" for all these great years of great music !!!
