I'll say this: this Venom was absolutely a beast and one of the absolute best versions of the character ever! However, they did lie when they said he was gonna be very accurate to how fans know him to be. Still, great Venom you got there, Insomniac.

@@DiBaccoDetails The motivation, use of powers, and the way Venom acts are very different. 1. Venom's pure goal is to ruin and kill Spider-Man. Single-minded on killing him. All that power and rage aimed just to take Spider-Man out. That was not here. This Venom may have been angry at Spider-Man, but he wanted Spider-Man to join him. Venom only decided to kill Spider-Man after he repeatedly rejected ruling the world alongside him. Also, that part. This Venom wanted to spread symbiotes. That's the motivation of Venom from Web of Shadows. Not actual Venom. 2. This Venom didn't copy Spider-Man's powers. They were accurate in showing the strength and use of tendrils. Power wise, this Venom took from Ultimate Venom. But we all love the fact that Venom copies all of Spider-Man's powers and skills and uses it against him. That's not here. 3. Venom's obsession with Spider-Man is supposed to be based on hate. This Venom's obsession was more of an obsessive "love." Toxic love, at that. Again, this Venom was awesome and a great villain. But Insomniac did lie with saying this was gonna be a very accurate version of Venom.

Not small details. They're literally the reason to Venom's claim to fame. This Venom has the brutality and looks down, no doubt. But he definitely doesn't act like how Venom is supposed to act. It wouldn't be anything worth noting if it hadn't been for the director clearly stating and confirming Venom's accuracy to the source material while promoting the game. But it turned out to be a lie, so it's to be pointed out now.

Cons : I wished the game was longer and better paced , I felt some scenes were really rushed like Harry being Venom after Peter ditched the suit or turning evil so suddenly. They should have focused more on Peter and Harrys relationship . I really did not care about Harry and the ending for me wasnt as emotional as the ending of Spider-Man PS4 or Miles Morales. I really liked the dynamic of Peter and Otto in the 1st game and was incredibly sad when he became evil , for some reason I could not feel the same for Harry , there freindship really didnt make me feel anything . I was not a big fan of some of the face npc models and also MJs face model ( It looked very off and took me out of the game , the first game MJ look was way better) The new miles suit was ridiculous and felt out of place in the finale and it was even more annoying we couldnt change it. Pros : The gameplay and worldbuilding is absolutely phenomenal I love how while doing crimes we can also see Miles helping. The special attacks are incredible. The boss fights were epic (Especially Sandman and Lizard) Swinging is much faster and the web wings are absolutely amazing. Symbiote Spider-Man was a menace This game had the best version of Kraven and Venom ever. Loved that Mr. Negative got a redemption arc. Small detail but I loved how when we switched characters , we could see Peter or Miles doing some activity. Overall , an incredible game with High highs and some Lows.

Absolutely incredible game, my only criticism would be that it had quite a few bugs, which I’ve never experienced in a AAA insomniac game in the past. I can’t remember a single bug in Spiderman 1 during my multiple playthroughs, or even Ratchet and Clank. I feel like they rushed the game just a little bit to make that October 20th deadline. Still, I don’t think I’ve ever been this hyped for a game in my life, and it was totally worth the hype. Insomniac is an incredible studio, and I cannot wait to see what they do with Wolverine (and hopefully future marvel characters too!). Love your videos too! :)

I think the story has a lot of problems with miles feeling like an afterthought. Miles never mentioned Mr negative until he appears which to me demonstrates a lack of foresight. Not to mention peter being drastically nerfed so that the ending where only one spiderman is needed works. Combat is also too spongy. It's good but I would give it like a 7/10. Glad you enjoyed it though.
