Thank for your this video. Have a C5501 at work. PDFs took 5-10 minutes per page with windows 10. Changed all from WSD to TCP. Also installed updated drivers. (PCL5) and all is great now. We tried PCL6 and half the systems started sending errors and printing 100s of garbage pages while others worked great. Making all of them PCL5 was our solution.

This and CTJW's comment helped me. Had to change to the IP port (had to actually add it in my case) to get off the WSD port.

Any suggestions for someone who has made the suggested changes mentioned in the video and hasn't seen full improvement? It went from several minutes per page to a few seconds for the first 10 pages, but then stalls and prints the rest of the document extremely slowly.

hi that was helpful - it would be really helpful if you could have put the key information into the video description. The thing that fixed it for me was that you told us that under Printer Properties / Ports it shows that the printer is using a port name that begins WSD then this will be slow. The solution is to Add Port using the ip address of the printer (eg 192.168.1.49 in my case but it should display on your printer lcd screen) . My printing then was super fast once more. Thanks.

It's recommended that you turn off the WSD setting from the printer Web GUI, this protocol is definitely a security risk and hackers can easily exploit it to gain access to your network.

What do you mean by "class Driver" I have a RIcoh Aficio MP2510 when I try to print from Excel, it usually errors out, especially if I'm duplexing. It takes forever to print PDF's as well if it dorsn't error out before it prints anything. Which driver should I be using for my machine? The company we bought it from said that "PCL 6 Universal Driver" is the correct onwe but now I am confused because of what was on your video. I can;t find a driver that exactly specific to my model on the Richo website.

@@troygiles235 Yes, I did check all of those things and everything was set up correctly. I called Ricoh and they no longer support my printer so there are no specific drivers for it. I tried a few different drivers off the RIcoh site and non of them seemed to work.
