12000 km on our ape diesel now. Runs better then day one. Did have one gear shift cable change, no cost to us. Almost totally dry in rain. Love it and would buy again. Yours suits you, so is perfect for you. I've ridden bikes for 50 years, and still do, and wrist shift doesn't bother me at all. Plus diesel takes heat better. I guess its all in what each driver wants.

On the newer models didn’t they change the engine location a bit to keep all the heat from cooking the driver? Stay safe and it makes me happy to see a couple married for life such as you and the lovely Mrs.

Had a Bajaj scooter with a wrist shifter. It really is easy to adjust to, and that scooter was rock solid reliable. Crashed it, then rode it home, pounded out the dents and drove it for several more years! I may go with a Bajaj when I retire over there, but will check into othets too!

I've always liked manual transmissions! My bikes all had left foot shift, and my cars and trucks all had 3 in the tree or 4-5 on the floor. That never bothered me vs. left foot, and my Bajaj being left hand shift was a non-issue as well! I have room for a smaller filipina on either side up front, and no hump of course! seat belts help! only 4 forward gears, + reverse, and now high/low! Also, 200 cc is just not quite enough power, as long grades require 2nd, sometimes 1st. gear! IMHO, 250cc would be quite adequate...

I would like to ask does it have enough power for you. It seems that 200cc is a small motor. A 250-350cc would be better for getting out in traffic as you would have more power to take off.

Talk about buying new in the philippines , from the dealer I bought I 125 Honda. When they deliver it foot brake not adjusted, clutch not adjusted, tyres were half flat. Carburetta full of crap, 15 months ago we bought a 48v nwow hero front suspension is crap front break is usless , electric drive motor the hall sensor failed. Tyres half flat when delivered, could not adjust the mirrors, no spare tire. But all good now there people no attention to detail.

Are Rusco(s) built for go up into mountainous areas? Since I have been livinig in the Philippines, I have just started learning about these things (i.e. motorcycles, etc.). I think one of your other videos answered my question, which is no it is not made for mountain terrain. What type of vehicle would you recommend?

I have a Baja, there were things I liked about it and things I liked about the Rusco. Would I buy it again? I am not sure. If I was going to live here "forever" I would buy a car. Yeah they are ALOT more but for traveling outside the town I would rather have a car. Since parking is so hard to find for anything except motorcycles, I might just use tricycles, except they have their own problems.

Rusco do not make this vehicle it's imported from China. The other model you looked at do not have the engine in the back , but under the front seat. If you need a new vehicle then look at the Bajaj Quite, m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5_Vo2RrYt2or7M
