Iskall starts a new modded minecraft adventure in the Vault Hunters modpack. The goal is to eventually collect all 25 unique artifacts to open up the final omega vault. Does iskall have what it takes? This series will focus on automation in minecraft, farm building, base building as well as high intense battles in the vaults!

I've got to say, I think gating the majority of the highly modded content behind the vanilla content is brilliant. It gives us motivation to still play the game, while creating a reward for progression.

@@linkhidalgogato You don't have to trade with villagers to get to the modded part. That's just how he's playing it. You could rush to the dragon, then go hard into the modded stuff, if you want. There is still a significantly modded feel from the beginning. For instance, you can start with vein miner and haste, even if you take the first point of twerk (which is honestly worth it). As for it being a good idea, that's just my opinion. I like that it validates vanilla progress, while adding further challenges after. No one else is obligated to agree.

Yeah I hate modpacks where you play for an hour or 2 and then suddenly tip over into being overpowered then the rest of the entire playthrough is way too easy. Not fun to watch or play like that

You said that you were worried about creating a tutorial, i think the video feels like your hermitcraft vods. Derpy, simple and fun. That while you still seem to sneak in alot of explanations about the mod. I have been watching vh since the start of vh legacy, and this video is the opposite of boring for fulltime viewers. @@guymanhumanperson the gear you find in vaults is better then the gear of tinkers. The dev's are thinking about making the process of making the paxels more like the tinkers mod. That change has to wait atleast till season 3 of the smp

You can max out an armorer to get diamond armor for emeralds then use a grindstone to remove whatever enchantments it came with.

Hey, as you said "how well this modpack is made", I wanna ask you something. I tried using it with OptiFine and there were lag spikes every 5s when my FPS dropped from over a hundred all the way down to 0. It happened even in the World Map and sometimes also in the pause menu. Is OptiFine to be blamed here or is it due to some other mod. Also, I allocated 4 out of total 8 GB RAM my laptop has.

@@abhishek.rathore There recently has been a bug, that made the modpack use way more RAM then it is supposed to. I believe a patch came out this morning but I have not tried it out yet. There is also a temporary fix in the Vault hunters discord that includes replacing some files. I believe the mod that is to blame is called something like Xenos map. I don't use optifine myself so I can't say if it is involved, but I would try one of the two things I mentioned above.

Jeez you are really attracting the scam comments. Here have a decent comment: I started playing this modpack two weeks ago, I decided I needed a villager trading hall. I minecarted all my villagers from their houses, over to the zombie, then in their new spots in the trading hall. Then on the last villager I wanted to check if they were already locked in. I shifted under the half slab, right clicked, and picked the villager up. And that is when I remembered the villager pickup mod was in there XD Oh well, better late then never.

I love that this modpack is being turned into a series I watched the first iteration of Vault Hunters well CaptainSparklez and Iskalls streams and watched maybe like 10 streams before I just got too far behind because streams are just way too long to watch and keep up with, even if I spent all my freetime only watching streams I don't think I could keep up, but with KZbin videos I personally prefer KZbin videos over streams.

@@AED10 for me in playing or watching it lacks the sense of accomplishment… as tedious as vanilla is - a successful farm or a good build finished just feels like you have worked hard and accomplished an amazing task… in comparison whenever i try modded it just feels like cutting corners and taking the easy way in a way that i could also be doing creative mode… is that in any way understandable what i mean? It’s more of a „feeling“ than a hard objective argument and i know there are many good things in modded - just not for me
