My first phone was this where i played movies and did some gaming and the best part is the display, its still on par with most of the budget phone till now . This phone died around 3 months ago and its in my drawer since then.

recently replaced the screen and battery on my girlfriends s7 edge from 2016. was suprized at how expensive the oleds are, even a refurb with some minor burn in was the same price as my daily driver phone: 2016 iphone se. i bought a reflashed logic board from china for like 12 bucks and then built it into a 5$ iphone5S chassie with a bad imei. boght another iphone se2016 with a bad imei for 5$ with some cosmetic wear on the chassie and salvaged all the parts from it. whats crazy is you can buy 3 packs of replacement LCD screens with glass and batteries for like 7$ each. if you update the IOS version and then turn off all the data mining and privacy settings, my battery lasts for about 9 days without use and around 3-4 days with about 2-3 hours of screen on time per day. not to mention the headphone jack. i prefer the iphone5s aluminum backing since it was made as their flagship phone and i believe either out of 6 or 7 series aluminium which is a lot tougher than the SE aluminium. phones are so cheap i dont know why anyone buys new ones with serialized parts now days

This is my second phone and i still use it to this day. Before i had a gs3mini and your gs5 is in really good shape except the swollen battery. Please for the love of god replace that thing it can explode. Mine was black and the back cover was falling apart and i replaced the back cover too now it looks very good. I also replaced mine with an aftermarket battery and i get 6 hours of screen on time. Which lasts me a day. When its dark the camera isnt that good but when you have good lighting it beats new budget phones like the galaxy a03s. I got an international and its the worst spec 3g only exynos 16gb storage 2gb ram. The at&t model sucks though it has sooo much bloatware the international model has no bloatware. The front camera is not good tbh. But the back camera supports hdr and its very good honestly. Even though i have the worst spec with the exynos it doesnt really lag on youtube. The fast charger is 15 watts and please dont use it on a swollen battery. use regular micro usb if the battery is swollen which is 10 watts max. the random shutdowns are probably becouse of the battery.

The battery has been changed twice and this one is now lasting much longer than the others, and it was replaced in 2019, the one before it did not hold up and turned off the phone and it swelled up a little, now it is a battery maybe tarocca, with 2450 mAh written and Chinese scripts and for some strange reason it is lasting compared to the others, even if this one has been inflated a little lately.
