If Adesanya wins he's a 3 time MW champion, which may sound really impressive on paper, but it would be kind of a manufactured achievement, seeing as he didn't deserve the title shot in the first place. There's a reason why it's so rare, and that's because you usually have to go through one or two top contenders before getting that 3rd shot - becoming a 2-time champion is way less difficult in comparison because it almost always happens through the mandatory rematch that former long-reigning champs are guaranteed to receive following their first defeat. In other words, Dricus needs to win because the integrity of the sport is on the fking line
