We had just finished 2 week tour of Saudi in February in Jeddah. Our guides arranged transport to the airport at 5AM but none of the Ubers could get to our hotel because police closed the Roads

You just missed being on TV with the greeters there. Anyway those guys in cream robes are traditional guest greeters, who traditionally stood ahead of the tribe when receiving guests of honor and greeted them loudly for all to hear as they walk in. As for where to go next, try Jeddah and go to Al-Balad-the Old Town. From there you can explore the rest of the city. I would say come to Abha in the south but it’s still a bit chilly and most of the touristy stuff is in the summer so not much is going on right now.

There is a museum in Riyadh called (National Museum). It's a huge, wonderful museum. It has been visited by many heads of state, such as the US President (Trump), as well as the Chinese President, the Russian President (Putin), and many heads of state around the world. You need 3 hours to see the entire museum!! Entry price is only 10 riyals 👍
