If you're trying to bait people you visit, you should ask "did anything happen to you last night? Also role?" This way they think you could be LO and think you're easily confirmed, so they'll lie and often misclaim

I was the BG that game and unlike everyone else I like that attempt to bait me , most good GFs are not going to claim BG, and doc is a good substitute. It was fun playing and working with you skimm ! Glad we got the W ggs and happy grinding PS... I’m master (was high diamond this game) game really needs to get a bigger population since I shouldn’t be playing with golds ... but glad it was a skimm game

So Arsonist can get town people executed easily with unexperienced Jailors and Investigators. The other day I was playing ToS and I was crusader. I was protecting a revealed mayor, and an investigator was lynched (accused of being executioner) and in his last will he claimed I was BG, GF, Arso. Jailor decides it is a good idea to jail and execute me, but the next morning he was confused when I turned up as Crusader. Also mafia decided to attack mayor while I was jailed. ._.

If you whisper someone asking for role, they usually assume you're Invest. You obviously wouldn't show up as Doctor as Godfather. I don't understand the logic behind that "bait". Who would go "I showed up as Doctor? Yeah that makes sense I'm gonna lie and say I'm the Doctor!"??

People in Ranked are informed about the Invest results, so when you know that you will come up as BG/GF/Arso to Invests, how can you trust a guy that says "you came up as doc" and you weren't transed? They will just see through the bait and even use it to their advantage by making you believe they are actually BG.

Skimm already said he hates Vet, he doesn't know how to really play as vet. My strategy is to stay completely silent night 1, not alert, then be super active day 2. Ask for spies, sheriffs, meds to come out since they are super common fake claims. Push on who TI found to claim. Night 2 alert and hope for the best. Ideally get confirmed and kill some maf, but if it doesn't work then you can just be really aggressive another day, do a VFR if really nobody claims anything, still better than just waiting for town to lose majority.

just played my last placement, was retri, revived a good town role, claimed retri over and over with no one CCing me at all during the day. night 6 i get jailed and executed cause NE claimed retri exclusively to the jailor and then left before i died, i pointed it out, and jailor said "naaaaah". and then it was just jailor and WW at the end cause i was killed! would this be a game throw? or just an incompetent jailor? cause it did lose town the game.

We can't really tell if Jailor was doing it because they wanted NK to win, so if there was no proof we can't assume Game throwing, I guess Jailor wasn't focusing properly, not good. Which I also do because I am absolutely shit when it comes to the Jailor role. Like maybe not that bad, but I can never organise role info both night and day like that, I always mess up with it lol

I just had a game today where I was invest, with a handy partner that was BG together we got the SK (Actually, I did that myself) witch, forger, gf and mafioso hung and won the game for town. Something funny, well, maybe just super lucky, just happened (in ranked practice). I was the Godfather, and two mafia left the first day, not even doing anything, and the Forger claimed LO on the stand that was on the Sheriff the night he died. He was lynched, and after that day I was witched pretty much from then on. Town kept suspecting me while I tried to play it afk, but I had a full will as a BG claim, it was weak, but whatever. For a while i just sat there, “afk” until the witch whispered me, saying “I’m the Witch we win today”, and first, I didn’t even expect him to be the witch, and second, I didn’t even realize that, until he said it. The transporter was afk, so all we had to do was kill him, and the rest would come next, and boom, victory. The veteran left before the night was over, and we won the next morning.

Wait, what? You thought telling them they showed up as something they clearly won't show up as would be a good way to bait out of them that they are lying about their role? That's a terrible idea. Saying that tells them you are invest, and town or not, they'll say it's incorrect and tell you what their actual results would be. So unless they'd already soft-claimed, it wouldn't work.
