Man, this channel is underrated, and I don't mean that lightly. Booger Hole kinda reminds me of another little town in the woods, called Onion Town. The difference between that place and Booger Hole, however, is that people _went_ to Onion Town, and stayed there. Although, saying Booger Hole and Onion Town are similar would be an insult to the former, as the Onion Townspeople tend to be a lot more violent (in the present day) from what I've heard. The only way I know about Onion Town is from a video by a (much larger) KZbinr called Goose Boose. All I remember of its location is it's somewhere in New England.

The sampsons are my family, I've heard this story from my grandpas brother . There dad was my great grandpa and Bill sampson was his dad and I believe Howard was an uncle . This was really cool to find I had actually been bored and was looking for something to watch when i remembered hed told me to look up boogerhole sometime so i looked it up on youtube for shits and grins and found these videos and was watching in Ah next to just hearing about it thank you I found it fascinating . I've got some black and white pictures of the sampsons and the one posted in the video of Howard . I also heard about the cemetery but have never been there . Not my grandpa's brother who told me the story but his other brother wesley sampson was buried there in the early 2000s anyhow thanks again I love the history.

Booger Hole still exist...It's in Big Otter, Clay, WV...You can turn up Rush Fork in Big Otter, go to the low water bridge and that's where Booger Hole is located...Anyone there or in Big Otter can point you in the right direction...What's funny about this is, there was an accident 8 years ago that had 11 young adults/kids in it...the accident happened in Wallback, Clay, WV...Everyone in this accident was directly related or with names as the ones murdered or lived in Booger hole...Including a Conley girl that was in the accident and my son, which we were related to the Cottrells...A few hours before this accident, these kids were in Booger Hole...Saying they were looking for ghosts/spirits...Which some show strange things that night and some even say they saw hell hounds with red eyes and white spirit like creatures floating...I just thought it was very strange that their last names were the same or related to some that lived there or was murdered!!

Nice series! Very intriguing.. I'm glad to see that there is someone interested in preserving the history of these places. I'm from Eastern Kentucky but am temporarily staying on Huntington, WV atm and I'm familiar with a lot of the places you talked about in this series which was really cool. Thank you for sharing! My Grandmother grew up in booger hole WV during the depression , they lived on a farm there with several bother and sisters , I was surpised I could find any info on the area.
