Fruit trees provide welcome pickings of homegrown fruits in my garden every year, with apples and ‘Victoria’ plum being favourites … trained as cordons, fans and espaliers so they take up less space.
As with many crops we grow there are problem pests about that can spoil your enjoyment, and few more so than Codling Moth attacking apple fruits and Plum Moth destroying your delicious plums!
In this video I explain my secret for keeping these fruits prest-free without needing to spray with pesticides.

Where do you get the plum moth traps ?please

Several online gardening retailers sell them, and I bought my last ones from a supplier on Amazon. Just Google ‘Plum Moth Trap’ and you will find a supplier. I hope you have a good crop of plums developing.

@@MiySadochok yes they work for me. I’ve found a single trap among my small number of apple trees is enough to catch enough male moths to prevent any females from laying eggs. I only have one fan trained plum and hang one pheromone trap in this and it does the job. If you have several trees spread apart then perhaps hang traps in each area.
