When you just see sephiroth as a run up sword character like Chrom he sux. But people need to acknowledge his unique skills. He has a projectile that sticks to you and extends combos. He has Octaslash/blade dash which lets him get to where he needs to be quickly. He has a completely unique forward air, and he has a third jump with wing. He's faster than roy and even limit cloud with wing active. There's more to him than meets the eye

I'm sure you're going to show people what a Sephiroth offline can do in the proper hands. No disrespect to Ned but he's been playing Seph the same for quite some time, still very impressive though! But Seph is in my opinion one of the hardest characters if not the hardest character to play, he's so precision heavy with next to no lingering attacks (none that matter), he's tall and light. Make a mistake and you're out! Play flawlessly? BROKEN! Very hard to do in long sessions of gaming though.

@@greedo194 I think for top-level play he is, he's too unforgiving compared to other characters. Sheik for an example, is very difficult to pull of combos with but her frame-data is so good she can toss out moves without getting punished very easily, Seph is the opposite. This matters a lot at higher level play. I'm by no means a pro but I do win locals a decent amount here in Sweden and I love Seph, but no matter how good I do on him vs friends and online (even though he sucks online) I have a really hard time at the locals with him because of this even though Seph is stronger offline, I do better as Sheik even and I'm by no means a better Sheik player. She's just that much safer.

I love these videos of curated moments from your practice streams but if I could make one suggestion as someone who watches them to study and for ideas could you please list somewhere under the video or on the screen during the video who it is you're playing against when? Like if their in-game tag doesn't match the name their known as in the scene. It would really help get me get a grasp on what kind of opponent and level of play I'm looking at as I try to learn the game. Some other minor things that help could be a timestamp from when it took place in the stream or the set count at the time of the clip so It's easier to understand if these are long game adaptions or really quick adaptions or so on. thanks for the amazing content regardless.

I like these highlight videos but I think the editor doesn’t always pull the best highlights. Some clips are just tweek catching a dash with an f tilt, or have a lot of down time before anything interesting happens. Like some of these clips are 20 seconds of tweek in disadvantage, losing a stock, and THEN the cool clip happens. Regardless his sephy is tight as hell. I’m excited to see more of it

Hey man, random, but who do you think is better overall, Sephiroth or Shulk? I’m having trouble picking a focus between them. My problem with Sephiroth is he seems to struggle against characters like Falcon, and his range is too linear and slow compared to Shulk’s relatively faster swooping arcs and better answers to disadvantage state. I know it’s not really worth it for you to reply here, just figured it couldn’t hurt to ask. Thanks for hard work and content.

nah, it’s safe to say that sephiroth is *at least* pretty good. I think Ultimate being well balanced doesn’t really put any characters in a “low tier”. It’s just that no one in this game is really that bad to justify putting below high tier. If you consider some specific players of certain characters, you might realize that no one would actually argue for their viability if it wasn’t for the players themselves
