My Shaw Brothers Film Collection

I own about 35 Shaw titles. Boxer From Shantung (1972), Disciples of Shaolin (1975), and Chinatown Kid (1977) are all essentially the same story. All 3 are directed by Chang Cheh, involve a pocket or wrist watch, and the latter 2 star Alexander Fu Sheng.

I really like Wang Yu and 'Chinese boxer' is a great film imo. Ive come to realize my favourite Shaw bros movies are all their saber flicks from the 60's. One armed swordsman, Have sword will travel, Golden swallow, The bells of death, Come drink with me, as well as some of the later sword stuff like sentimental swordsman or my personal favourite, the magic blade. shaw brothers is such a deep iceberg, with so many great films to discover and cultivate your own personal taste.

I have over 200 Shaw Bros and Golden Harvest movies from 1976-1984...The latest movie up to date I've watched since was the Ip Man movies, The Raid, and True Legend. True Legend Is a great film and of course the raid movies, no doubt about those. But You gotta check out your Flag of Iron with some of the Venoms, and your Monkey Kung Fu...and others such as Knockabout (jaw dropping movie), Ambitious Kung Fu Girl, and many others. I have a channel and would like to collaborate with you guys on a stream one day and hopefully share a Golden Harvest Tier list. Also share some other Shaw Bros and Golden Harvest movies that we both may or may not have seen yet....... hopefully to hear from you soon..... Peace

I have several hundred... not a complete collection but close to it. I prefer the late 60's through mid 70's films so those take up the bulk of my collection but I have other stuff too. I also have a lot of Taiwanese films from the same era..

Yes! I have way more of the Shaw Brothers movies in my possession than you do. Lol! But, I'm a lot older than you so that is to be expected! I grew up in the '70s. All we did every weekend was watch Kung Fu flicks. From what I have seen here, you need more of the "Venoms Mob" in your collection such as: "The Kid with the Golden Arm, Masked Avengers, Invincible Shaolin, 2 Champions, The Magnificient Ruffians, The Ten Tigers of KwangTung, Shaolin DareDevils, Shaolin Rescuers, Killer Army etc." Oh! And I do have Heroes Two as well as many others. 😂

Great Shaw collection I don't own many more than you do I have the ones you have excluding heroic ones and return to 36.The extra ones I got are Avenging Eagle which is awesome and Martial Arts of Shaolin and Come Drink with me on Dragon Dynasty DVD lol.King Boxer is a great I would recommend watching that ASAP lol.My favorite in your collection is the 8 diagram I love that 88 films artwork it's the best,I have the Arrow version.Thanks for sharing man.

Yeah you got me beat too... I got 237 but it's a mix of Shaw and Golden Harvest. VHS tapes are better than DVDs to me when it comes to Kung Fu movies

I have 300+ shaw brothers films, I haven't counted them in awhile but it's way over 300 I know that. I tried to get all the stuff from '65 through like '77 or so... just personal preference
