I had a grocery basket roll down the hill in the parking lot and hit someone’s car. The gallon of milk bursted open it was squirting everywhere and I smashed the customer’s bread. I texted her what happened and told her I was very sorry and I will go back inside to re-purchase these items for her. But she told me not to worry about it. I ended up calling Shipt customer service and they ended up giving her credit for both the bread and the milk. I was more embarrassed about the cart hitting someone’s car lol. But no damage was done and the driver was fine with it (driver was backing out when this happened).

Good stuff, I was waiting for this one, unfortunately. It's so awesome that you're willing to educate others on this because Shipt (Or Instacart or any other service) will not give you the real. As a contractor you're left on your own to learn only by making mistakes. They give you "hints" and suggestions but will never admit to inefficiencies and things situations that are not cost effective to the contractor. Awesome channel and energy 👏

I had an unresponsive customer and used some executive decisions on subs, when I drove to their house (I had never been there before), there was an ambulance down the street where her address was at. My heart absolutely sank 🥺 The ambulance was actually for the house right next door, but boy oh boy... I was super worried as I was driving up.

I dread apartment complexes! Every so often you will get someone that leaves specific directions to their exact building and I’m so appreciative! And I’ve totally stop delivering to this one neighborhood, I’ve delivered there 5-6 times and have never got a tip from any of them! Stingy ppl!

I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but if you deliver to an apartment complex a lot. You should go into the leasing office sometime explain you deliver groceries there often for shipt and ask them for a map with the building numbers on it. I used to work at an apartment complex. So I know how confusing it can be, as each complex is completely different and often numbered in a way that only makes sense to the people running the complex.

First of all, I wanted to say you are beautiful. I just started being an official Shipt shopper yesterday and this helped me a lot. I am a former Instacart shopper and took a break from them because the last order I did was for an apartment. I didn’t just have the regular 24 bottled water cases, it was the 35 bottled ones, and it was a total of 3 cases. I had to carry each by myself up to the second floor of an apartment. I can tell from her stomach that she was pregnant. So I understood the assignment. But it wore me out. It was my fault because I didn’t know about using a cart. But also as a shopper, that is when I think the shop apps should request the customer to make arrangements. I watched KZbin videos and decided to look into Shipt. I only heard the good experiences, but not the bad ones. But the part you said that got me was stop shopping at night. As a woman too, you are right. I need to stop doing that. @@TyraTheCreative it happened to me last week in Seal Beach, I work in South Los Angeles but take Orange County orders all the time because the bots takes Long Beach batches. It was to deliver to Leasure World, old folks apartments. Asian costumer didn't speak English and didn't want to be contacted. I could not find the apartment for the life of me, it was late already to deliver and finally someone passed by and happened to know the ap number. The place is huge, numbers are small and in a weird order, on top of that these people put plants and decor that hides the numbers.🤬🤬🤬🤬Sooo pissed! Is there an app to find apt numbers? Google maps sucks!!! Plus I had to walk around with heavy milk cartons. I wanted to scream too, I confess I almost cried!😩

As a shipt shopper, your vids are very helpful, me personally I stay on the open metro, and I chose my orders, it’s better for me to chose then go on schedule drive to multiple zones, I just stay in one zone shop and then chose another zone that I know well.

I’ve only been doing Shipt for 2 or 3 weeks, but last week I had a fairly big grocery order, and the store was out of stock of at least 10-15 of the items the customer wanted. So frustrating. I had a huge text stream with the customer, who was very understanding. My order ended up being late because I had to spend 1 1/2 hours at the store, but thankfully the customer was nice and tipped me.

Same here! It’s usually at MEIJER when I have a big order and half the things aren’t in stock or in a weird place in the store. I’ve been late for Kroger orders too because of this same issue. Target is the best shopping experience given that the aisles are not terribly confusing and when you use the Target up it gives the red dot to where it should be in that aisle. For clothing however that’s another story...

I swear it never fails customers that live on the third and fourth floor with all the stairs always orders two or three cases of water or gallons and gallons of milk they never leave the gate code to get into the building they never leave delivery instructions they're never home and then never tip it's like it's a manual of what to expect. And why is it that people order so much water the living in apartments with no elevators are they just extra thirsty?

I love your videos! I feel like I’m listening to a friend talk when I watch your videos. I finally did my first shipt shop yesterday and luckily the lady was so super nice and gave me a 20 dollar tip! and watching your videos has really eased my nerves!! But my 2nd shipt shop was today and it was kind of a horror story... I just felt very uncomfortable. It was a lot of people at the house and the man who owned the house did help me carry bags up but apparently the milk dropped and he was like “the milk droppped can you go pick it up?” Idk that just rubbed me the wrong way! And then I’m backing out and he literally let his dog come out and the dog ran behind my car as I’m trying to back up!!! Luckily I saw the dog and stopped and waited for him to run back to the house! And still no tip from them yet and I had to get over 20 boxes of oatmeal for them 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I've taken party city delivery orders many times. The problem is you have no idea if you'll be picking up a large ass balloon order . Well, I have a small Nissan Sentra & yes I've been able to shift my seats to fit all the orders I've taken, BUT , the reason this is a horror story is because if I had crashed my car because I can't see a frigging thing due to balloons taking up all the space in my car, leaving me with a small space to just barely drive, I'd be a bloody Mary mess

My recent horror story is in the middle of the city of Detroit. This once commercial business building now turned into an apartment complex, was locked from public entry. Nobody answered the call button, there was no way to get in the building, the person would not answer the phone, and the person also would not answer the phone for Shipt. Meanwhile, my car is sitting in a tow away zone, (but there was no way I was paying to park here)... So Shipt tells me to drive back to the store, (which was not on my schedule! and 20 miles away!) I suppose it could of gotten even worse if I was to of gotten a ticket for parking,..but thank God I did not! Another horror story, was when I took two orders at the same store, but one order had more substitutions than I cared to deal with! This person would take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to get back to me on each item, which not only made me late for her order, but also the other order I was doing!! never again! ...

Delivered 6 orders yesterday, only 2 tipped... it was before a snow storm, so the stores were busy and a lot of things were out of stock... also a few days before valentines. Customers expecting target to actually have holiday items a few days before the holiday is unlikely and the area is all picked through so impossible to find things and have people help you. At the food store, the customer wanted 39 items, they didn't have at least 12 of them. So it took forever to try to locate the item, then offer substitutions. I had 7 people in the store helping me, was out of breath just trying to get the order done. Then I was late for the next 2 subsequent orders, which were out of product too. Makes me look bad. All that for $8/hr. Should have doordashed instead and made $8 in 15min.

I just started this week. I did Instacart for over a year. I started with shipt Hoping it would be better than Instacart. Nope...I have done eight orders, and also only been tipped on four. All of my deliveries I got everything they wanted other than one order with one item that did not want a substitute, and all we’re done on time. So there’s no reason for them not to have tipped me. I also see that my rating has gone from a 5 to 4.8, so obviously someone was not happy with some thing For no apparent reason. I have a promo of complete 20 orders and get $200. I will be finishing the promo and then I’m done with this. It’s definitely not worth it.

Peace and blessings, yesterday was my day starting, my first order was 270.00 I forgot to scan each item before putting the item the cart, this customer had over 30 items that bad to be substituted, so when I get to self checkout I had to scan each item, For some reason the code didn't come up to scan, I was in Target going on three hours, I was frustrated, tired, embarrassed, and I felt soooo stupid, my biggest was rushing into it without the proper training and knowledge, I started watching your videos yesterday, so next time I will get it right, I hate wasting my time, I hate wasting people time, and most importantly I HATE FAILING 😔 I was disappointed in self, but hey, I'm living and learning, the next time I will do better! I tried delivering an order for instacart. I got to the guys gate and had no gate code so I called him. He literally answered and hung up after one ring. Not once but twice! I contacted customer service and after about 10 minutes of both us trying to get ahold of the guy, customer service tells me shes going to cancel the order and that I can go finish my other deliveries. As soon as the order gets canceled and I start driving away the customer messages me saying "sorry I just noticed your messages." I call bull shit! I don't know how I got the message but it showed up on my notifications somehow. I messaged customer support and told them about the message and she told me "don't worry about it, he can go do that to someone else." Lol

i know this is an old video but i have so many bro first time i had three orders at target my phones cell service stopped working and the window to deliver was closing so i had to walk around target to find service so i could process the orders. BUT i could only process one at a time and so i had to walk back and forth three times to get each barcode. then i delivered one of them ti a hotel right next to disney and ofc there were like eighty hotels on one block and the maps app took me to the backlot of one so i went around to the front and delivered it and was heading home when the woman texted me and apparently i had been at the wrong hotel 😐

Ask the customer what the name of their apartment complex is. Type in the name of the apartment complex and address so it can take to the right apartment especially if its surrounded by other apartment complexes (under a different name)

I delivered a queen blow up bed to the wrong address because it was the address on Shipt. I texted and said delivered and lady text me and said it wasn't. I told her to send me her address and sure enough I took the order to wrong house. I had to go get it from the wrong house and drop off to the right house.

Another place I don’t like delivering to are hotels. I lived in Las Vegas. The hotels are big as hell. Parking is a pain in the ass, as well as finding the damn customers. Also, the cab drivers are super fucking aggressive and wanna rush you..... Like chill, this is my first time here, you do this shit every day.

Today, I did a huge order at Target. The customer added a bag of ice in as a request. Then into the end of the shopping, asked for 2 more bags of ice. I added the bags to the order. Get to the cashier and find the order is prepaid and if I take the extra 2 bags of ice it comes out of my tips. So I left 2 bags. Told the customer. His response was that he would pay me in the tip. No way! There was no bare tee tha the would pay me for the ice. I am not buying ice for the customer. I worked really hard on his huge order

Yes, apartment complexes and shopping at night are my least favorite. And yes, as long as nothing happened to me or I didn’t feel threatened, I choose to have a positive outlook on life 😇

it will simply drop your "on time delivery" score! which is only based on your last 60 shops, so it can increase the more shops you do after those late deliveries!

Broke a customers eggs while driving, told her I would go get her more. She was understanding and said don’t worry about it and tipped me $10. In contrast, last night I did 3 orders at once. I was confused because none of the customers texted me back. I delivered everything to each house to the best I could with no info about substitutions. I came home and my phone went off constantly, I looked and all the customers texts spammed through of them trying to reach me, things they wanted added, and their frustrations of me not responding. I felt so bad that I botched it. I really don’t know why it didn’t work though.

That happened to me once, but I called once I was done shopping and they answered. The messages weren’t going through. So next time, call. If you still have trouble, you can call HQ and say you are having difficulty reaching the customer. They may try on behalf of you.

Check to see if your phone and phone company supports wifi calling. That way you can still receive texts and calls when you're not getting the best signal.

I had a customer try to use me to commit fraud at her hotel. She drank the expensive Fiji water in the fridge. The problem is, Target didn’t have THOSE size bottles LOL..... 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️ I thought I did a great job by substituting for the size bottles that they DID have. Guess what? Nope, no tip. Her broke ass shouldn’t have even been on vacation.... And, she was gonna get charged anyway. That’s the oldest trick in the book. Hotel staff know when you remove something and replace it.
