The best repacks show all possible cards in the break, either via pictures or checklist (ideally both). This should be expected, and if not, details on top hits and average/floor/ceiling numbers are a must.

Bud, I've been in backyard as well and thought the exact same thing you're thinking. I understand floor and ceilings, but when you have cards going beneath floor and only a few good hits, just not a good look, especially for the price to get into some of these repack breaks. What's troubling is that people can literally look up comps on the fly and price out every card and can go to the "sold" part of the break and do the math. I have to be honest, most of the time the math aint mathing...

I think most repacks are the biggest scam in the hobby especially places like Backyard. I will say I watch We The Hobby on Whatnot fairly often and their Pantheon repack seems reasonable most of the time. There are 5 graded cards that all increase in value as they open them, and I think at least one or two people at least break even or profit off that single team if they get a "hit". Congrats on the 100K! Also is that Dr Disrespect on your shirt 😂

Buy cards at 80% of comps, make a repack based off 100% of comps, and then add 20-30% for shipping and services. These influencers and breakers are printing money..... Would you walk up to a table full of cards and pay 120% comps?

Watched that BYB repack, under 4 mins in ... already seen a Patrick Baldwin Prizm blue shimmer rookie, that's a $4 card :) ... or if you want to upgrade to a /25 version, you can spend $1 more. Hardly an $85 floor. I've used Hit Parade, been stung one or twice, but have also had above average pulls from it too.

GoldGraysen is the same way. The callout box low end box is $130 cost and the cards are like $15-25. They are horrible. Watch because there are some good repacks out there. One I would say is Trader Jeff’s in Whatnot.

@@LootboxTVreviews I have had good luck and now they have $100 packs and if you pay an extra $20 you can sell them back for a certain percentage, but most I’ve bought have been right around 70-80% back with bigger hits mixed in.

Congrats on 100K. Repack math is misleading. You could have 10 cards in a repack. 1 card worth $2,000 and 9 cards worth $10. You could post that the average value is $200 and not be lying. Knowing that 9 cards are worth $10. Extreme I know, but it’s an example to make the point

I mean repacks are all different. My brother has hit a t Brady dual auto with Wes welker psa 8 ($1600+) from a $75 spot, the best thing with repacks I’ve seen is smalller the amount of repacks per case is better.

It’s a gamble just like buying a hobby box or even a retail blaster. We know what we buy at the end of the day. Hitting is always our expectations but that’s not always the reality. It’s the gamble we all love to me. But hating is not it.

Yea, selling more with repeat customers is way better than robbing people once and never buying from you again as your reputation crumbles. The key is finding bulk deals for stock so you can throw in those extra cards to make up value and keep customers happy and still make profits. That's what i would do anyway and as you said, don't be greedy! 😁
