An edited version of My Shot from Hamilton London. It's probably not perfect- calm down!
I'm using Sabian 16" Artisan hats (with some random shells on the top - why not?), 19" HHXtreme crash, 24" HH King Ride and an Artisan 18" crash.
Drums are Pearl Reference Pure and a nice dark red colour.

I always forget there's no horns in the pit and it's all programmed into the keyboards until I hear it isolated like this.

Hi Tim. My son and I met you in London after the conductor exited. Great to see you play 'My Shot'. Elliot is a fan of John Bonham, et al. Do you have any Bonham tracks you have recorded? What is one of your favourite rock songs to drum to?
@TimGoodyerDrums
@TimGoodyerDrums 3 жыл бұрын
Hi - yes I remember. How are you? I don’t have any Bonham tracks to share although I did record whole lotta love for someone last week, weirdly! I don’t play along to stuff much nowadays tbh but I remember I used to like playing along to immigrant song and the ocean. Good luck with it all Elliott! Thanks for the message. :)

Awesome! I noticed that the multi 12 sits on the left, where it sits in front of Andres on the Broadway version as he found it such an important piece of the set. Is there a reason they chosen not to this at the West-End run?
@TimGoodyerDrums
@TimGoodyerDrums 3 жыл бұрын
Hi - thanks for watching. I moved it and replaced it with 2 Roland pads either side of tom 1 which are connected to the multi 12, as you only need 2 pads at one time. Then I could have a regular tom set up. The multi 12 isn’t used that much in the show tbh. Cheers.

Hey Tim, dig your playing and appreciate you sharing this awesome view with us! Curious as to what drove your DTX set-up, with it way off to your left and auxiliary pads (?) by your snare, vs. having the entire unit in front a la Broadway. What drove you to make that placement decision? Cheers!
@TimGoodyerDrums
@TimGoodyerDrums 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much - glad you liked it! Well, I found having the toms all down one side annoying for fills etc and the DTX is not used much, esp in Act 1 and, when it is used, it’s just kick and snare mostly. So I made the kit into more of a regular kit and used aux pads. So the DTX is pretty much just a controller. Cheers! Tim

Hey Tim! Excellent playing! Is this usually the mix you play to for the show? (Without vocals and lots of guitar?)
@TimGoodyerDrums
@TimGoodyerDrums 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bailey! No it was taken from the band’s Instagram takeover so it’s more of a general mix of the whole band and we weren’t allowed to use the vocals (for legal reasons I think). I would usually have more bass/click/guitar than this and some (although not loads of) vocals. Thanks for watching!!

Sorry I didn’t see this! They’re sabians. 16” artisan hats, 19 artisan crash and and 18” HHX of some sort - can’t remember. The ride is a 24” king ride and there’s a stack which is an 18” ozone over a 14” mini china. And there’s a 20” symphonic cymbal which I just used for cymbal scrapes. Cheers!
