Sponsors are fine as long as they are relevant to the cause. Like the time you had Ecosia as a sponsor 💚.

I totally agree with waking up early and having a good morning routine. I like to start my day with a shower and then I usually eat my breakfast sitting on my bed. No phone, no computer. Just me and my room. Maybe look out the window, maybe read a book or think about the day ahead of me. I also keep a list at the top of my phone, that i can easily access, where I write down things I need to do, things I need to buy and things I need to remember.

one thing i love about you're videos is that you admit that people are drawn to want to purchase things by the media etc but that doesn't necessarily make us bad people, just people that haven't realized whats important yet. You dont judge or talk down to anyone and are focused less on looking low waste and looking minimalist and focused more on making actual change! thanks :)

I think I love cooking so much because it's my "do not disturb" time. I love chopping and humming and chatting to my housemates without having to worry about what's dinging on my phone! Also it's a win-win situation because there's food at the end of it!

These are fantastic tips. I'm still working on getting up earlier, but it's something I have noticed really helps to make my day so much more productive. I read somewhere that day dreaming helps encourage our creativity and reduce stress as well, so it's totally okay to get bored for a little while and let your mind wander-- you're absolutely right!

a good morning routine has actually changed my life. it makes me feel more active and productive throughout the day. i usually wake up around 5:30 am and when i feel like it even 5:00 am. my first ritual i do after waking up is to put on some music and just dance around. would totally recommend. another ritual is i always eat my breakfast outside, no cellphone, no distractions; just me and the outside world :)

You make awaking up early sound so enticing!!! I've always had an agenda since they used to provide them in school and I never stopped using them. I also love to do lists or any kind of list really. This week I made myself a matrix for my to do/errands this week. One column was the location, the second was what the errand was/what I needed to pick up and the last column would be the prep necessary (making sure I have the items for that particular outing). I got so much done this week! Also, the 'reminders' app on iPhone is actually shareable, so it's great for shared or household to do lists/errands. Fantastic video - I listen to these at work. You are lovely as always and thank you for another video!

I also try to implement some productivity habits as I'm studying a lot of hours per week at the university, I find meditation in the morning really helpful not only during the time I sit and try not to think about my busy life, but also in the whole day, I feel more joyful and focused. Definitely trying not to disturb myself with notifications and everything while working, and workout also brings joy, peace and better sleep ! But... Wow, it would be hard for me to wake up at 5 am every morning 😂
@Uapa5006 жыл бұрын
My do not disturb time is the hour before leaving home in the morning. Phone stays on the bedside table and I don't touch it until I get near work, so I can do all my relaxing routines: breakfast, open windows, wash myself, making the bed... 😄

Hey girl. I don't think you should worry about the effect of having sponsors. I actually think that when you are backing the company and supporting each others brands that it's an amazing opportunity. I don't think working with sponsors tarnishes your credibility so please continue to do so where you feel that your brand and ethos align. Your doing an amazing job and deserve to get the rewards that come along with doing so! Love the videos and keep up the amazing work :)

Love this video- do not disturb time is excellent. I have been doing this too because I realised I always have a screen on plus phone and or podcast/audible book. I personally need quiet time to gather my thoughts and relax. Another one is remembering to get outside each day-again for me this helps boast my mood and feeling chilled out! This is especially important in the dark winter months. Thanks again ✨👏🏻

I really want to be the kind of person that can wake up early and be productive. I have chronic fatigue and insomnia which means I averagely go to sleep around 2-4am and can only ever wake up around 1-2pm. It's so awful and I know that it contributes so much to my lack of productivity but I have been stuck in this cycle for years and it seems never ending. Hopefully somehow I can find a way to slowly push back the time I go to sleep, or at least create a consistent sleeping schedule rather than the one I have now which is completely different every day. If there are any videos about doing this I'd love links!!!

Hey Gaia :) I got some of your issues. A couple years ago, my mom asked me if I did a detox, maybe it will help me. So, I went on a very short one, 3 days: water (store bought because tap water gave me a sore throat and overall feeling of sickness), fresh fruit and fresh vegetables (no dry legumes or frozen from the store) ONLY. No seasoning, oil, vinegar, vitamins, supplements. I immediately noticed that a lot of the symptoms I had went away, fatigue included. I used to lay on the couch for 6-7 hours a day, couldn't get up. So, after this short detox, I introduced foods back into my diet and I noticed that certain foods bring back all those symptoms. The big culprits for me are: vinegar and anything with vinegar (dressings, ketchup, mayo, hot sauce etc.), cured and dry stuff (bacon, salami, ham, store bought dried fruit, dried herbs, all seasoning etc), all stuff like bullion, browning sauce or gravy mix, soy sauce, soy milk, rice milk (and any kind of those fake milks), any store bought juices, etc., oils, most supplements, medications etc. Well, you get the picture. ;) I'm writing this to you with the hope that it will help :) Take care and be well!

I'm kinda having a rough time because I'm a sculptor and I literally cannot find any clay products that are plastic free. They are either polymer based clays with sustainable packaging, or sustainable natural clays with plastic packaging. I don't want to give up what I love to do, I feel like a failure as a minimalist and a low waste activist. I feel like crying ever time I go to work, thinking that what I love might hurt someone. I'm sorry for commenting I just don't know where to go.
@cathrynrosalie12896 жыл бұрын
That's not your failure!!!!!! You are doing your job, what you love and that is amazing!! Keep looking out for the clay that makes you as happy as the work you do with it but it is NOT your fault if there is no clay like that available on the market. Create the market! Reach out to other sculptors and build a base of people wanting that plastic-free clay and let manufacturers know. You can go from there... keep up your spirits - i am sure you are doing many other things💕
@laurawalsh31216 жыл бұрын
You are definitely not a failure. The lack of sustainable clay just shows a gap in the market. It is absolutely not your fault. I get why you feel guilty however we all need to work and you are doing your best.

Try contacting someone who produces natural clay - get it from them directly. (I even heard of sources where you can dig your own red clay). Good luck!

Geez you think you have it hard. I work in a RESTAURANT (Plastic to-go cups, straws, boxes, containers of all shapes and sizes, Styrofoam containers as well, and thousands of these tossed away in plastic trash bags at the end of every single night, and I live in Texas, where they don’t recycle plastic)
@savannahleslie35155 жыл бұрын
Do the best you can. You don't have to be perfect. However, you can start messaging those companies about your needs. You can reference the sustainable packaging of other brands. When they know there is a market theyre more willing to make changes.
