When my sourdough starter needs a boost I give it a little wholemeal flour along with the mostly white flour. But I do feel the struggle when it’s cold!

Really good delicious ideas here, thank you...especially the tofu dressings. I make the berry jam every week too...with a mix of ground chia and flax seeds, the juice of an orange or satsumas for sweetness. It makes my breakfast...a game changer!xx

Straps are too far apart and a little too wide. It looks quite loose on you, so maybe make it smaller? Also, I would make a bit longer with a bit more fringe at the bottom. Would look really cute!

Was trying to get some food inspo, and the puttanesca just called my name when you mentioned you were gonna make some. Trying to make and find stuff that I can make extra of, to put up as well, so that I can start actually getting my garden for our house going (have some pots, but that’s the extent, and we have a quarter acre that we own, that just lazily sits there)

Good job! I knit socks for my family. Most times they have some kind of pattern, because plain socks are boring to knit. But my youngest daughter always receive plain ones. She loves to mix and match and wear always different colours together. But the boring socks are perfect, when reading or watching, in the car, phonecalls with my eldest daughter or while waiting somewhere.

Okay. I watched this quite a few times. First, it is a tad too big. Since this piece is fully completed, you can't take off one of the vertical rows. I noticed that you have a kind of wide band of white joining the piece together, and I do think the straps are a tad too far to the sides. Perhaps you could take out the band that joins the piece together and use just one row on each end to join it together? I hope you give us all an update on what you decided for a solution --- NOT fixing it won't do, you know --- and showing how it looks after fixing it.

Maybe sow it in a way that the bottom is a little tighter and gradually gets wider at the top. You could have it perfectly rectangular if you barely have any chest. I think this is why it looks different

Is mushroom vegan? Its technically not a plant and scavenges on dead stuff, no? 🤔🤔
@simoneb3741
@simoneb3741 Күн бұрын
Technically not a plant but definitely not an animal. Not a plant because they don’t photosynthesise but they draw on similar growth elements to plants just a bit earlier in the decomposition chain.

Pro-tip: for warm winter socks I use dk/worsted weight yarn and 4.5mm DPNs instead of circulars (I still use circulars to start, but after like 2 rounds I transfer to DPNs) Takes like half the time as using sock weight yarn and 2.5mm or so

I constantly. Tackle projects beyond my skill level. But sometimes it works out and it feels magical to rise to the challenge. My biggest issue? I never finish projects. Don't know what the problem is. I really need to do better with that. It feels wonderful to wear something you made or to give someone something you put some love into.

I learned on DPNs, before the magic loop was as popular as it is now. It's tricky to get your hands used to the tiny needles, but you'll totally get there. I found magic loop very odd and boing-ey to get used to, but now my fingers find their way just like with DPNs. Pretty soon you'll be turning heels in your sleep 💜
