This is a good point. I've modded for a long time, especially skyrim, and it's easy to just recommend a vanilla plus wabajack list now. For a beginner that can easily get overwhelming and it also doesn't really teach anything about modding.

​@@Zarkili didnt know shit when I started modding skyrim. Using vortex is so easy : find a cool mod, hit download through vortex, click install, click enable -> boom its done. Conflicts are resolved with a visual representation therefore being super beginner friendly. Everyone saying vortex is bad compared to mo2 clearly never used it, it's just so convenient.

Vortex is for people who doesn't make their own mods and just wants to pop a mod list and play the game. MO2 is great for people who makes their own mods because you can easily check each mod and make tweaks with it. Plus I don't really like vortex all dark brooding UI theme.

​@@H1r0xvortex is easier with small mod lists or to use collections. However if you want to make a big mod list with a bunch of mods that will have conflicts god help you. That's the reason I moved to mo2 only about a week and a half ago as I was too scares before. But trust me. Get past the learning stage and mo2 is much easier. With vortex doing the above all or before all bullshit is well. Bullshit and the lines going into or away from mods is the worst thing I've ever seen. With mo2 it's drag and drop

I’ve been modding skyrim since 2016, just recently come back. Wanted to overhaul some settlements with jk, cotn, and tgc. Found out you need a patch for everything, even patches need patch. Needless to say, i’ll just download other people modlist 👍.

Thumbs up! As a vanilla user, the only thing I am interested in is something basic and simple to improve graphics. I don't understand why there's not just one single mod for this. I rather just have no graphic improvement than have to install multiple random mods with dubious functionality/conflicts. But this seems reasonable enough to be worth trying.

This is insane. After playing newer games, it hurts to play vanilla Skyrim because the visuals are constantly reminding you it's a +10 year old. And yet, with such a short list of mods, it's insane how much it changed! Just goes to show how an experienced modder you are.

I installed this overhaul to one of my MO2 Profiles and it didn't take long. More than that, this simple overhaul is amazing. It's really clean and doesn't require hours of configuration that are also contingent on installing or removing all your other Mods or trying to get them to work well together.

I've got all seven of these in my list, though I currently have ENB disabled as I'm exploring more performance friendly options. Not only do they serve as a comprehensive overhaul, they can also be built upon by adding more tailored texture mods, more world edits, and really anything else.

Two older alternatives that offer minor but effective overhauls are Surreal Lighting and Rustic Weathers And Lighting (this one has support for enbs iirc).

Another good option that I use is Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel with the Photorealistic Tamriel ENB. That’s the only two lighting effects mods that I use and they’re pretty good looking. I also use water for enb and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Though it is pretty intense on my pc.

I'm gonna start new game, without modbpack which I'm using now. Too much mods in pack, which changes the gameplay and some of them are colliding with my language version. Some dialogues are in english, some in PL, what is bothersome and irritating for me. I want to just have clear experience, for FIRST TIME ENDING THE GAME. Yes, I've never play any tes for more than maybye 10hrs. Just installed skyrim few days ago to see what mods can do with +10yr old game and now, after 33.5hrs of playing I can't stop. This game is insane. SO: 1. I have to install ONLY THESE 7 MODS, or something else, like requirements listed on nexus? 2. Will it work with the newest steam version of Skyrim SE, or have I to downgrade the game?

Great vid Though I recommend using 30% (or even 50%) fewer “vanilla” trees with ulvenwald as I find it adds WAY to many trees.

Lux has too much patches for no reason. Until they can lessen those patches I'll stick to elfx. I see no difference in lighting quality between the two but elfx only has two or three plugins. Same with Embers. God, for just some burnt wood it's way annoying to patch with other mods. Oh, I'm not forgetting you too J.S Skyrim. One of these days I'll just make my own Skyrim world overhaul instead, with just one ESL file.

*2020x downscale version...* I recommend this version. I kept getting major STUTTERING with the larger versions. Just TURNING was constantly causing brief stutters. My PC specs: RTX4070 (12GB), R9-3900x, 32GB DDR4, game on SSD. I can only conclude it was a CPU bottleneck issue due to taking too long to move the assets. when I DISABLED the three large Pfusher mods my stutter issues immediately went away. It could be something else RELATED to the mods although I can't imagine what that could be. I don't notice any obvious quality difference either on my 1440p monitor... oh, and DYNDOLOD 3 didn't help at all with that issue.

What is your Avg FPS? I get 27-32 FPS with ENB active and 37-42 without. My PC specs: CPU: I7-13700HX GPU: Nvidia RTX 4060 Ram: 16GB single channel Vram: 8GB I download some of the utility mods as well like Priority and SSE bug fixes, etc Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

With rudy for cathedral try the PredCaliber enb cocktail on top of it. It significantly enhances rudy.

A little question about the Folkvangr mod. I downloaded it last night, but it didn't seem to activate, so I checked the requirements list, and it says there's a whole bunch of other mods/plugins needed for it to work, so I ended up downloading a whole bunch of stuff, just for grass. I've not yet checked to see if it works (it was late!), but I was surprised. So, does this mod really need all the things it says it requires, or did I just not notice that the grass had indeed, changed? Edit: Nevermind, I'm just an idiot, or it was late or whatever - I failed to see it said "mods requiring this file". :p Anyways, great video. :D

I finally have the mods i want but the textures i just disnt kniw what to have. The Skyrim 202x is over 20GB which takes forever if u dont have vortex premium but eventually it got downloaded and my god what a beautiful mod

Hey there, just installed all the mods, and the game looks a bit blurry, not so sharp. when something is just a bit further away from me it becomes blurry, or if I look to the left and then turn to the right it takes a bit to stabilize, do you know how to solve it?

Hi it's almost certainly thr depth of field effect from the ENB. You can either disable or adjust it in the gui or just use a different ENB

you'll need a solid setup to run the grass, tree and ENB all together from this video. If you're struggling for fps, I'd drop the ENB.

​@@tylerbraun8748 enb's taking like half of your fps With skyland + ulvenward + veydosebroom regions + rw2 i get 60 fps stable on my old good gtx 1060 With enb on, even if turn off ao, dof, skylightning (all the things u download enb for😂) i will get around 40 The compromise is to use comunity shaders for parallax and tweek reshade a bit just for color correction and vanilla hdr and here u go 60 fps everywhere

It does still work but you need to get the parallax fix mod. Or just use another texture Overhaul like Skyland AIO or noble skyrim

NOooooo!!!!! . . . all joking aside, you have once again performed a great service, especially for new modders, with this video. There are so many new mods now and so many choices that it must be pretty daunting for someone just starting out. A great selection of mods! The only surprise for me was "Simplicity Of Sea", which I hadn't heard of, and which looks very good! . . . and my new mod list isn't much different for the graphics. I tried quite a few different weather and enb mods, and like you, finally came to Azurite Weathers with Pi-Cho enb. I still remember going into my game for the first time after installing these and being overwhelmed by the beauty that these mods give!

They should install directly to MO2 using the mod manager download option. Have you linked your nexus account and MO2?
