That outro hits hard. I was 14 when Skyrim came out and I started modding it not long after. I think your channel may have been the first one or at least one of the first Skyrim modding channels I've come across. I'd like to think I've come a pretty long way in terms of modding ability since then and even though I'm comfortable with creating and optimizing my own mod lists whenever I reinstall Skyrim, I still love coming back to your channel. I have had my game running really well for a few months now. I used the followed your video and made the file tweak. Wow!! I didn't realize all the places that my game was running just a little bit rough. I'm running on a gaming laptop from late 2022. It's certainly not bad, but it's a laptop and I am ALWAYS gpu bottlenecked. My cpu's desktop equivalent i think is around that of a R7 5800x, but the gpu is more that of a 2060 super, just with newer dlss features that often go unused by the older games i play. (And I do not have the paid dlss ENB compaibility mod for Skyrim). This was like magic how I went from a very inconsistent and jittery 40fps to smoothly reaching the cap of 60 that I set for visual overhauls. First time discovering this channel, but seems super useful and I'll keep this in mind for later. Thank you and thank the mod author!

No one makes these complex modding processes as easy to understand as you do. I like to think I understand some things, been at it for a fair few years now, but there are some mods that require more than just downloading and installing it and depending on what all is required to get it working, I may or may not be able to do it myself with just the information provided by the mod maker themselves. And if that is the case, good for me, I've been modding since Oblivion, I have in fact learned a few things. But then there's times I just don't get it, or more recently it's something I just never considered before, and the number of times a GamerPoets video has walked me through it and helped me get it working, I honestly cannot count mostly because I never actually bothered counting. All the same, I've probably said thank you in the past, but if not, thank you.

You're like the only one who actually talks after trying it out. So, did it really work? Did you lose the stuttering and did it do something else, like increase fps or something? Also, what cpu do you use and could put a a rough percentage of improvement? Like 10% or totally stutterless? I have a 12700k and a rtx 3060 and have no issue of stutters but more like random crashes, once or twice in a 10hr game session, not mich but still irritating. And it happens so that, i think, a milisecond before a crash, there is like this tiny stutter. Hope to work that around with this guide. Also, i have a Nordic Souls modlist with +1400 mods so i know im bound to crash once a while with all the scripts running.

You’re amazing dude. I play Skyrim in VR and have a pretty beefy PC. However I’ve had stuttering in several areas and it’s all CPU related. This video helped me remove those stutters. It ran pretty great before except some of those really CPU intensive areas. Now I barely get any stutter at all!

Fun windows tip, Control + Shift + ESC gives you the task manager. I'd suggest opening task manager once and setting always on top under options; In case you ever need to pop it up over everything else.

New to this channel, expected a bunch of unnecessary crap and questionable "high priority" task manager tweaks, got an actual affinity mask hex calculator and a very calm and straight forward, no bs config file editing how-to. I love it. Good stuff. I wonder if it would be worth explaining to people why they are unchecking the SMT/HT threads and that they maybe would want to exclude the e-cores on 12th and 13th gen intel, and on AMD also exclude the non 3DV cache ccd cores that do not have local 3DV cache because they do not reside on that chiplet. EDIT: actually, I think someone would have to test if the 3DVcache cores with lower clocks are better or not. As far as I remember skyrim is so bad at multithreading that raw single thread performance is what you'd want, however I do not know how much it would benefit from the increased L3, since I do not own one of those ryzen 7xxxxX3D currently to test with.

I actually learned about the e cores after the fact :) wish I knew about them before hand. I just new that some folks were having issues so I put the warning to test in. I considered explaining why to uncheck but I've learned over the years that the more info I provide the more I confuse/lose general viewers. I have a trimming down process where I do 4 drafts of each video "on paper"....as I chop away bits of information each draft makes me a bit sadder than the last lol

@@gamerpoets I see, yeah I can see that, but if it makes you sad, maybe a "if you want to know more about this, and why we do it, click here" linking to something you read or even a video you made yourself could be an idea? But yeah, the cutting down was what caught me, so I can't argue with that, it works. Thank you!
