You guys are absolute *NUTTERS!* This video managed to be my first ever video to break 10K views, and it’s all thanks to all of you! I doubt any of my future videos would achieve this anytime soon, but for the time being: this is probably my greatest achievement yet!😅 Thank you again to 10K+ of you for enjoying this video!

Although its more accurate i lowkey prefer the old pentumbra (That one legit sent shivers down my spine)
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 3 ай бұрын
I never really thought that someone actually like the old Pentumbra sound I made! It’s a start for me trying to figure out how to recreate Pentumbra’s sound, but when I listen to it a couple of times in the past, it sounded rushed, and messy to me, so that’s why I considered changing its sound, and having it a bit more balanced with the rest of the song. Especially for its 2nd track, where it strangely gets a bit too loud at the end of its track.
@Chair_that_u_sit_on
@Chair_that_u_sit_on 3 ай бұрын
@Camphreneas that loudness is the best thing abt it tbh the track sound horrifying which is genuinely really good considering its the shadow quad, perhaps in your next workshop cover you can slightly bring back that 2nd track? (Good cover as allways)

At least Rhysmuth is ‘somewhat’ easier to do than trying to do Sporerow & G’Joob on Mythical Island, which is why I’m able to get it in sooner than usual when it comes to tougher monsters, such as those two mentioned. I do wish you the best of luck for yours!

Why did you use the weird pitch fall for teeter-tauter? I would use the party horn sampler for teeter-tauter
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 3 ай бұрын
@@DaTruelyRealTeeterTauter As far as I can tell, there’s no party horn sample for me to use from GarageBand’s Apple Loops library, so I had to make use of what I have without downloading any extensions that costs money, or use up all of my iPad’s storage to the point where it’s unable to save my GarageBand files, which could also result in lost progress, or some file wipes.

This makes me think that Bandlab is worse than Garageband but im not so sure
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 3 ай бұрын
@@thwok59 Each music program has its own flaws, and advantages over each other. Whether they have more instrument types over one program, or the accuracy of that instrument is better in the latter than the former, or even when it comes down to how simple, or complex it is to use that program to make compositions, but what matters the most is how the user uses these programs to its advantages, and come up with workarounds to dodge some of its flaws. I could argue that FL Studio could be better than GarageBand, in terms of its larger library of sounds, and instruments to use, as well as better optimizations of a song than GB, or GarageBand is better for portability, and accessibility, making it easier for beginners to use. (I don’t have much knowledge on Bandlab, so I couldn’t really say much of anything about it, and compare it to GB, or FLS, or else that’d be unfair.) Other than that, I’m surprised my dumb, silly, and greatly unbalanced covers manages to be “better” than Bandlab in some way.😅
@thwok59
@thwok59 3 ай бұрын
@@Camphreneas Well FL studio is #1 like that's how the monster sounds are made. Bandlab does have a sampling feature which I use a lot but I don't know if garageband has a sampling feature but it probably does
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 3 ай бұрын
@@thwok59 It does. I started to use sampling more in my covers lately since I’ve learned how to use it almost a year ago. (Hence one of my earlier videos of me learning how to use them. 😅) With this, I also label the instruments I’ve used that are sampled, such as for Pluckbill, Thumpies, and most of the epic Wubboxes, just to name a few.

How’d you get the meebkin and Pentumbra sounds (and Rhysmuth)
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 3 ай бұрын
The main instrument I used for Meebkin (Glimmering Noise) is altered to sound more accurate to an angklung. The shaker-like instrument for Meebkin’s tail(?) from the Coffee Shop drum kit is from the percussionists sound pack. Pentumbra is a combination of three instruments, which all of them are already included in GarageBand by default. Rhysmuth’s main instrument, Vintage Beats, is from the Vision and Verse sound pack, and is altered to sound close to that of the Amen Break drum kit, or whichever kit that is used for Rhysmuth. The other instruments used for Rhysmuth, Dark Space Pluck, and Vowel Disintegrator, are in different packs. (Backlight Bounce, and Transition Effects respectively.) Its last instrument, Fat Synth Rhythm, is already included. All of these instruments are modified, and combined to recreate Rhysmuth’s sound.

@@baechl The instruments are listed in the description for all the monsters, including Pentumbra! Though, I didn’t take into consideration that some people would ask for the packs they’re in, and not just the instruments…so I didn’t even bother with those.😅 Even if I did, my iPad gets *INCREDIBLY* laggy when typing out long descriptions for some reason…

This definitely needs good mixing. Some Monsters just sounds a little bit loud
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I figured this is hard to do, especially in the last verse. If I try to end up making a monster quieter, it would be too hard to hear in the last verse, but sound loud on its own in other verses. Even for the ones I’ve made louder, it would sound balanced in some verses, but too loud. It’s hard to find a sweet spot for these, especially when compensating for those with differing headphone/earbud qualities, or the speaker layout of various devices, or if the device only supports a certain speaker setting. (Mono, stereo, surround sound, etc.)

How did you change the Meebkin noise?
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 3 ай бұрын
@@CheerioGuy I did some modifications to the main instrument I used for Meebkin to make it sound more closer to that of an angklung. I also used the automation settings to change the volume while the sound is playing, making its sound get quieter, then louder again as it plays for its 2nd track, close to that of how Meebkin’s 2nd track plays in-game.

Wait How did you do those slide notes on auglur? Please answer I need to know
@Camphreneas
@Camphreneas 4 ай бұрын
I used the automation settings for the layer that Auglur’s on. It’s useful to lower, or raise the volume of an instrument layer, and even “bend” notes if that instrument isn’t capable of allowing you to do so by default. To do this: tap on the instrument you want to automate on the left side, select automation, and then you could add, remove, or bend points on the volume line in edit mode.
