These people aren't doing pranks, which are supposed to be silly and funny for everyone to laugh at together. They just want an excuse to bully people they claim to care about, and laugh at them when they get understandably upset and angry. So gross! Definitely instant breakup-worthy. And then being 'sorry' after, doesn't matter. He couldn't have spared a thought for her before his horrible "prank"? And he claims he loves her and wants to marry her? No way. Don't take his sorry ass back. If he cared at all, he would never have thought to do any of this in the first place. Whe she confronted her sister at home, it was done with their parents present and Jane said OP stole Bob from her and their mother sided with her. Um, your daughter just admitted to lusting after one man while dating another, but it's op's fault somehow? She's the whore? Gotta love them golden child double standards. Assault, sexual or otherwise, is not a prank. Assault, btw, is legally defined (summarizing boring legal speak) as any unwanted physical contact (I believe some jurisdictions lump in threats of such as well).

Story 1: I do find it ironic that given OP's relationship with her sister, that if she had been honest with OP she would have 100% respected her sisters wishes and none of this would have happened. Also it's fine and dandy to say you don't care about your reputation. Until your family is going around saying you knowingly stole Bob from your sister, that the two of you had an affair, that Bob cheated, or that you've always been jealous of her and lied to ruin her life. OP may not care if that goes around her family since she's not close to them, but I'd say it's pretty unlikely it'll stay in the family. OP's suddenly going to start caring about her reputation when those rumors reach her friends/Bobs family. Better to cut it off now and tell a few close friends and Bobs family.

Fascinating video, Let's stop taking relationship and family for granted. I have battled depression since my wife left me. I have tried all I can to make her see that I love her with everything I am made of but she has insisted on leaving. This has made me so empty, and I do not know what to do. I can barely function properly at work. I am frustrated and miserable. I really miss her.

S1: Sister's husband deserves to know, so he can then make the decision to work on it or walk. Parents need to stay in their lane, this doesn't involve nor concern them and both daughters are adults. "He told me they'd handle it and not to tell anyone what Jane did"? Nah, fuck that, then they aren't handling it. What a crap family. S2: You misspelled "ex-bf." "He's the one that should be angry because his friends saw my butt." His friend would not have seen anything but your jeans if he hadn't pranked you. This is all on him, and you breaking up with him are the consequences of his own actions. And make him pay for the jeans he ruined. So he hid your panties on purpose, gaslit you about being mad at YOU for a prank he committed where he already knew you didn't have your panties on (but he totally forgot so it wasn't his fault)? He "insisted on talking so I let him"? And you're still not calling him an ex? *Find your backbone!* His "I planned to propose and totally have the ring" is a manipulation tactic to keep you from dumping his ass.

Story 1: Everyone failed Jim. He'd been with Jane since HIGH SCHOOL, but no one told him Jane had been throwing herself at Bob the entire time they'd been at college, all while Jim was at home working to BUY HER A HOUSE. Everyone knew but Jim. And they still all waited SIX YEARS, until *AFTER* he married her, to warn him?!?! No wonder he went NC. And this also means the parents knew Jane had unrequited feelings for Bob, WHILE she was on Year 4/5 of dating Jim. Then they all blamed OP, who didn't know any of this & had still *sought Jane's blessing* before dating Bob, for "stealing her sister's love." WHILE JANE ALREADY HAD A GOOD MAN. Poor Jim.

Story 1 makes me sad for op. I'm sure Jane spun some wild story about how she told op everything about her feelings for Bob and op still got with him. It makes me upset op didn't stand up for herself or clarify anything with her family. I'd be fighting tooth and nail to not lose my family like this, but my family also wouldn't do this shit, so maybe they're actually worth fighting for, whereas ops family isnt... ugh, it just makes sad when people lose relationships over someone else's lies. 😞

He's a bully. That's what most "pranksters" really are. Pranks are almost never funny, especially the ones intended to embarrass or humiliate people. People who do that are bullying others, and think they're superior in some way, when they're actually immature and unkind.
@Rebelrocker697 ай бұрын
In the last story OP needs to ask who was recording the prank. Then she needs to get an attorney to send a letter stating something to the effects of "I did not consent to you recording me and my bare buttocks. Delete it immediately or I will sue. Any sharing of the recording will be construed as revenge porn and charges will be filed with the authorities in addition to a lawsuit being filed." Then demand the exbf reimburse OP for the ruined jeans. Technically she could also file charges for assault on exbf and his friend.

Story 1: I wish nothing but the worst for Jane and the parents. What are they on? The sister was quite literally trying to steal OP's husband while having a husband of her own, and the mother has the GALL to call OP the wh*re. Are the parents stupid. OP would not be TA if she told the sister's husband because he deserves to know the woman he married and should be free to decide to get the annulment and live his life. But I totally understand if she doesn't want to get involved anymore. At the very least, Op should go full NC and live her best life with her loving husband, it's the best way to get revenge. Story 2: BF should be glad all OP did was break up with him. From the sounds of it, she could 100% sue him and his friend for SA and destruction of property. Like, what's supposed to be funny about ripping someone's jeans. Then he had the nerve to be mad at Op for not wearing panties, as if she planned on her pants getting ripped. Fuck this guys and if he keeps bothering OP she should try to file a report and sue.

I just don’t understand how people like Jane THINK that the one they like was stolen from them by another person. I mean I have had a friend get with a girl he knew I liked and it hurt but I went about my business and supported them because it wasn’t my place to say who this girl could have romantic feelings for or go out with if it was not me. Jane sees Bob as a prize of some kind and it’s sad that she has this mentality especially when Bob has told her he’s not interested at all and was much nicer than most would be. I feel bad for Jim as well as OP and Bob, I hope they all can heal from this crappy situation and I even hope Jane can get over this obsession she has towards Bob and go on with her life.

That sister sounds even worse than my sister which says a lot! My sister used to constantly steal my clothes for herself when we were teens, catfished a former boyfriend of mine and used his picture and name as a catfish, and bullied me over everything throughout my life including saying I wasn’t good enough for guys I liked. There was a time when we were cool and she even had me be her maid of honor (not surprisingly she caused her divorce after just a couple years), but our last interactions were her being horrible to me so I had her blocked online and don’t plan on ever speaking to her again so I don’t blame the OP here if she does the same with her sister.

These people seem to think in story one that the only people who get a choice is Op and the sister. Does this man not get a choice? Sis literally confessed to him and was rejected. He didn't WANT her. He wanted her sister. He gets that choice. He's not a prize to be won, he's a person deciding who he wants to be with. He made it, Op agreed she wanted to be with him, no one else in that situation mattered, least of all the sister.

Over a decade ago, I was in a friend’s wedding. At the end of the night, the groom walked me to my car and confessed that while he was happy he always got a little jealous when he saw me with other guys. I had recently moved across country, and it was easy to distance myself under the guise of “oh man, so busy and so far away!” I didn’t tell the bride, and I don’t regret it. They’re still happily married and have kids. But he also never said a word since, so maybe it was just drunk cold feet. All that being said, the sister is way too persistent in story 1 and her husband deserves better.

Story 1 - OP does right to distance herself from her birth family. They are not worth her time or effort. Story 2 - OP is definitely not the arsehole for breaking up with that nasty "boyfriend". He is vile. He wasn't even concerned that her might have physically hurt her, let alone mentally. Denim is a tough material and it must've hurt her to have them ripped off her. It's not only the (now) ex that toxic, his friends are too and he's a gaslighter. There's no way she would have been able to find her knickers when he'd hidden them for himself for later on. He planned this from the beginning. This male is not worthy of OP's love at all.

The pranking one just made me think "What if she takes him back and behind her back he continues to make tiktoks about pranks and there they are, on their wedding day, after she said "DO NOT SHOVE MY FACE INTO THE CAKE" what will happen?" Story 2: Regardless of the pranks, the reason she should end it is that her bf is clearly a very irrational person. The thought process he describes during the apology is a series of increasingly stupid decisions. The fact that he blamed her because he was too embarrassed to admit his fault says it all. Even if he deletes tiktok and stops doing pranks forever, she is in for a lifetime of her husband flying off the handle at her because he's too emotionally immature to admit fault, take accountability, be honest, and employ empathy. He only even made this apology because OP threatened to leave. I've sort of been in OP's shoes; it's difficult to let go of someone you love, but some people lack the basic skills necessary to make a relationship work, and OP's bf is unfortunately one of those people.
