Brother to skeered sister, "Do you wanna do some aerobatics?" At least it has graduated from spiders and snakes when they were kids in North Georgia. FYI, don't stop doing adventure sports with risks where you can break your bones. I am 70 and in August I broke my femur in a downhill bicycle wreck, where I lost my front tire in a curve with slight gravel. I haven't wrecked since I was a kid, and ride 100 miles a week. It is my fourth rehab this century, and it is a doozy. No cast, as the surgeon drove a rod down the center of the bone, "stabilizing"it. At the end of the year, it still hurts like the dickens. I raced motorcycles from 50 to 60 years old. Whitewater kayaking before that and snow skiing before that. Will take a year to completely recover, but I don't regret a minute of it.

As a glider instructor I sent a young lass on her first solo. She had an inferiority complex and low self esteem even though she was a natural. Asked how she enjoyed her first solo. "It was terrifying " She said. "No No the word is exhilarating" I said. " I was exhilarated to death" she said. She went on to be a good competition pilot and her confidence and self esteem grew and grew with each mile stone.

Christy...you did great....No matter how much people try to logically tell you how safe flying is etc. etc. when you're a white knuckle flyer it doesn't matter it's a phobia that is tough to overcome. I was for years even with my father-in-law being a pilot it's a personnel thing. When you talked about the bumps & Kevin doesn't even notice I've been there. All I can say is keep flying and hopefully one day it goes away which it did for me.

If you're flying out to Yellowstone be sure to spend a few hours at Custers Last Stand. If you like history at all you'll love the place. Fly into Hardin, MT airport 00u, and rent a car. Last Stand Monument is less than 20 miles away. Plan to stay for at least 3 or so hours. The rangers give outdoor lectures on what happened, then the Indians give a lecture on their side of it. Awesomely interesting. Be sure to drive the high road along the top of the hills and stop to read all the placards that show locations with explanations of that fateful day's events. You'll never forget the experience. Go into the museum too and don't forget to buy a geegaw. Hardin Airport www.airnav.com/airport/00U

Spot on. I fly and I'm afraid of heights. I can't even climb a 12 foot ladder without getting nervous. One time I was climbing out of KDVT and there was this black speck in the windshield. I didn't know what it was. At first I thought it was an airplane at distance but it rapidly got bigger and I thought we were going to collide. I spent years sharing her fear. Although I have a love and fascination of flight and airplanes the fear of flying made every trip on one a battle, I hated it. It all changed for me flying home to London from Miami on a Pan Am 747. We had turbulence, severe at times, from the moment we left Miami to about an hour out from London. There were numerous apologies from the flight deck, one stewardess cut her head hitting the galley ceiling. No food or drinks served, all cabin crew strapped in their seats too. Other passengers were crying and/or praying lol. The flight from hell went on for so long that by the end of it the fear I had, had gone, I had no fear left in me lol. Now I love it, I crave it. I envy you and your better beautiful half for the joy you get from it. I love the states, I have visited over 30 times now. Once your wonderful country allows us back in I will be back in the sky loving it as I fly across the pond. Have fun, great videos, much love from the UK.

I've seen other tubers that speed up the frames during cruise and set to some music to it, and that's OK. We can speed it up too as viewers if we want to, so I like the full, actual experience, boring, or not. Plus the family banter is often very funny "Gonna turn off the autopilot!" So whatever time you decide to invest in editing is fine by me. Actually, screw the vids...just gimme da plane! Keep them coming!

I've been air crew for over forty years. You wouldn't catch me going up in one of these light aircraft in a million years. It's like being in a tumble dryer.

Kevin does a good job keeping out of the clouds. The bumpiest part was on final approach. The clouds can bump you around a little.

Shucks, the 310 is a six place "big" aircraft compared to the light stuff (single engine, two seats) that I am used to. The 310 has been my dream plane since I watched the "Sky King" TV show, where the lead character Sky King flew his plane, the Songbird, in adventures out west. The show was aired from 1951 to 1962. There were two "Songbirds" used in the series--the first was a Cessna T-50 Bobcat, the second was a Cessna 310B.

When I got my private pilot license I was giving everybody rides but my mother says you will never get me up in one if those things. About a year later one day she suddenly decided she wanted a ride so we go to the airport, she gets in the passenger seat and we taxi out. I look over at her as I start the run up and she has her eyes closed tightly and has a death grip on the shoulder belt. As the rpm comes up the plane is bucking around a bit, she says " how high are we"?

I used to fly with my nervous sister on the airlines and when we were landing she would be really nervous, gripping my arm. When we touched down she would nervously say, "What's that?!" I'd say, we landed!

I got my private around age 20. Mom & Dad came out to see me and I took Dad up. It was a proud and really meaningful moment for both of us. Asked if Mom wanted to go, and she said "Nope - I changed your diapers!" Still not 100% sure how that relates, but I didn't push it. She was proud too, just didn't need to go up!

Kev - that would be the TN River; there are lakes all along the river made by the dams. It flows through Knoxville, Chattanooga, Florence AL and back north through western TN into KY and empties into the Ohio River... like a horse shoe shape.

"Would you like to do some aerobatics?" "No-ah!" I never knew the word "No" was two syllables. LMAO! Great video. And that was the Tennessee River and the "lakes" that it makes in the direction you were pointing is Watts Barr, Ft. Loudon and Tellico lakes.

@@310Pilot AWESOME! My old stomping grounds. I've spent a lot of time on both lakes. When I was much younger, I used to clean the bottom of houseboats at Ft. Loudon Dam marina and also go down and find watches, wallets, necklaces and other items boat owners and guests would drop overboard. I grew up in Knoxville. I've lived in FLA for the better part of 30 years. I love going back to visit every chance I get. One day, I want to build an AirCam and take it to Tennessee and visit all the lakes around the area.

Christy couldn't be with a better pilot! And his landings are way under-rated. They certainly look successful to me! At 10:05, you should have told her to "fly the plane, and I'll do this". Lol! Say what???

Hey! Just realized I took my first flight lesson around Cherokee airport. I departed pdk to the north, then went to Cobb, and then to Cherokee. I remember we topped off at Cherokee before heading back to pdk, and a helicopter departed right over our heads while we were fueling. So cool to see you go there! Great flying!

Lots of folks have a fear of flying, nothing to worry about. Your sister is a sweet girl and she obviously trusts you more than she fears flying so that's great. You need to find her a flying buddy - whoops is she married ? If so forget my previous suggestion ! Great video, glad you're back.
