I think i heard you say on the brakes when you retracted the landing gear. I can tell you what happened to me back in 1994. i retired from the airlines after 35 years in 2023 and one of the planes i flew was the Saab 340. i flew the Saab 10k hours over 11 years and the plane i flew before the Saab was the Metro liner SA227 and i would tap the brakes to stop the wheels when the gear was retracted. So i tapped the brakes on the Saab also . The Saab has anti lock brakes. One night after takeoff when the gear was coming up i tapped the brakes and later after about an hour we noticed we had lost almost all the hydraulic fluid. Landed safely but had to get towed to the gate. The brake caliber on number 2 wheel had broken at the top and bottom and was completely missing. So maybe the sudden stop caused it to break and so i quit tapping the brakes. Thanks for the video.
@edwardmiller8873 ай бұрын
Tapping the breaks is a good practice. The repeated extra stress on the gear due to gyroscopic procession when you don't tap the brakes has a far greater probability of causing a problem than the isolated incident you experienced. If you want to get an idea of how much extra force is required to retract the gear with the wheels spinning go fly something like a C model Mooney with manual gear and experience the difference yourself.

Great job! I have not seen this jet before. I didn't know there was a single engine jet. Very quiet. I'm impressed! I have not flown since 2000, just before my husband died.
