You can spray the drawing with hairspray to prevent your pencil drawings from smearing.

I'll have to remember that one. It's a much cheaper alternative to fixative if you're short on cash. lol Thanks for the tip!

@MarkCrilley Enjoy your videos, especially the topic videos with writing and creating specifically for Manga/Graphic Novels. Not sure if you've touched on the topic in your how to publications, but I would be interested to know how you tackle background characters. Ones you may only see in a couple of panels and crowds. As well as your thoughts on the approach some series take such Durarara and Soul Eater, wherein if the characters are static (Not directly or indirectly interacting with main characters) being Grey or crosshatched silhouettes.

I like this sketchbook with ink. I only use ink for inktober so after a year most of my ink dry without been use. Such a shame it happen. It's a good idea to keep an ink sketchbook Aaron Blaise also has ink sketches. My sketches with ink are not that good so it would be good practice.

I love pencil a lot, but hate the idea of fixative thing it is not practicle or you may not have it at hand..i wish there were another solution for it..Pencil is cheap, modest, easy to carry, and above all the tonality is dreamy and incredible .. any idea to fix the smudge thing or fading tone?
