I spent the weekend binge watching your skincare videos and just ordered about 10 products from Biologique R., Osmosis, Sisley, Emma Hardie, and Dr. Sturm based on your reviews. I’m turning 51 next month and really wanted to step up my skincare game. I love how you show and explain everything about the smell, consistency, and feel...not just what it has in it or claims to do. The sensory experience can be so important too! You’re very relatable and I have really enjoyed learning about new products from you! 😊

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 so I thought I had learned all your secrets with skincare but I’m going to try your makeup remover balm and the essence! You’re my guru for skincare and I thought I knew all the secrets! Thanks Abby for being so lovely. You don’t know how much you’ve brightened up some of my days. Happy New Years to you! As an aesthetic RN I do love the V-beam and/or an IPL for tightening and lightening. The science behind those are real.

I am definitely on board with the less is more! I do wonder sometimes if layering all of the serums and creams is really what I need to do! I also use several of the Biologiquere Recherche products and so far my skin has tolerated it all very well and I do enjoy the smell. I didn't know if I could take it at first and then I thought if it helps my skin, I'll throw almost anything on it!! I love the input you have gone over with us and if you are good with it so am I!!! I am so thankful I found you and it was through Penny's Skin Care channel and even though I am a bit older than you, you enjoy all of the makeup and skin care I do!!! You are one of my best finds in 2019!! Love you and Hugs my friend!!

I feel the EXACT same way Tanya!!! I am so THRILLED to have gotten to know you better in 2019 and to call you my friend. YOU are the BEST!!! I will take a day each week where I just cleanse, use serum, moisturize and find that my skin responds well to LESS is MORE. I love all my serums but have been just rotating them in - not slapping several on at once - and my skin responds positively to that. SO cheers to LESS is MORE!!! AND I am learning to stick with the products I know work for me- instead of getting swayed by the next best thing!!! That is so hard. LOL! Cheers to a great 2020!!! xoxo

Hi Abby! Happy New Year! I just recently discovered your videos. Love them so much! Learned so much and ordering some products you recommended.. Love the Barbara Sturm rich cream, anti aging serum, toner, and mask. I also have slight rosacea and they work great for me. Want to try the Biologique Recherche. Where is the best place to order this brand? Loving your makeup recommendations also. We have close to the same skin and hair color so it makes it easier form me. I seen you are from Des Moines originally. Im formally from the Quad Cities in Iowa. I will be continuing to watch all of your videos. Thank you so much!

Happy new year Abby!! 🎆🎉🥂 I don't know if I told you about the Retrouve, but I LOVE it. It is for night only, and more like an ointment. I use a very small amount and I noticed a difference within about a week (true story). I don't see lines around your eyes, but for 59 my lines are not too bad (they are there though), and I also have been using eye cream since I was 18. I highly recommend you try the retrouve at night, maybe you can get a sample? It is expensive, but it lasts a very, very long time (it comes in two sizes and I got it when Blue Mercury was having a sale - 250.00 & 415.00). I feel like it truly softened the lines that were starting to get a little deep under my eyes. I also like the Paula's Choice for the daytime - it's the ceramide-Enriched Firming Eye Cream $48.00 (it also has Vit C & retinol) I love this one too. I have tried many, many eye products and these are the two I've liked the best. Thanks for this video! I am looking for a new vitamin C (although the Peter Thomas Roth one worked on me, to a degree) I just think Vit C can only do so much and I will need IPL for dark spots - but I'm chicken, that's how I know I will never have work done! Anyway, I' wondering what you mean when you say the Skinceutical's C works for you, did it help with dark spots? Or did you mean something else? Thanks for these great videos!! (sorry for the long comment!) Take care my friend, Ginny 😘😘😘
@AbbyBlissWhite
@AbbyBlissWhite 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Ginny!! Yes! You have told me about it before and I have samples being sent to me now- so I can't wait to try it! Although it is expensive -everyone says you use such a little amount that it is worth every PENNY! And I did not know Bluemercury sold this. THANK YOU! As far as the Vitamin C- I started using it to combat hyperpigmentation in my 20's. I 'tried' to be a sun baby when I was younger ( and even used TANNING BEDS -LOL ) I was living in LA and had noticed all the hyperpigmentation coming out. I went to a dermatologist in LA and she told me the two most important things to do to combat sun damage were Vitamin C and SPF. She recommended the CE Ferulic and their 50 SPF. I noticed a brightness in my skin right away and have pretty must stuck to that credo ever since. There are lots of dupes out there for Skinceuticals but I always notice a brightness when I use my CE Ferulic and am just sort of loyal to the brand since that is what I started out with. AND yes- I totally was scared to get my first IPL and they had acted like there was NO DOWNTIME- but that was a lie. My face blew up and was completely swollen- all the brown spots come to the surface and then in about a week they fall off. IT Totally works but I have to plan it out appropriately with my work and such. I hope this helps! xoxo
@nevertooold6498
@nevertooold6498 4 жыл бұрын
@@AbbyBlissWhite Thanks so much Abby! Yes, this does help. I may try the Skinceuticals C. I try everything else! I was a sun worshipper on and off when I was younger. I used tanning beds too! So sorry I did that! And, of course, they told us that tanning beds were safer than the sun. It didn't make sense, but I bought it because I wanted to believe it. Did you have the IPL done with a regular dermatologist or did you use someone who does plastic surgery? I am so nervous to do it, but I know it's the only thing that will truly make a difference. I believe it is a series of treatments and I know it's expensive, I have psoriasis on my face and I wonder if they will do the procedure? Psoriasis is not like excema, my face can withstand acids etc. I know they recommend the 'light box' for people with psoriasis - I have it very bad, probably 40- 50% of my body. I need to find a good dermatologist and see what they can do for me. The med's are not working like they should - this is really much more than I wanted to get into - LOL! Sorry for the TMI!! Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it! Take care xoxoxo

I agree that you would like the Retrouve eye cream. I really like it at night. I’m loving the Barbara Sturm anti-aging serum. I don’t know what is in it that works so well, but my skin loves it. I’m enjoying my Ziip and really want to be dedicated to using that in 2020. I want to try your cleansing balm. I’m using the Retrouve (my 2nd tub) and find I don’t love the smell of the Eve Lom. Hi Abby, Now you have me wondering if I received the new or old version of the Lait 02 cleanser. I like it but I have no way of knowing if the next time I order it, will it be the new version, or did I already purchase the new version. Is their an identifying ingredient that I can check or is it just a feeling you have because you know the product so well? Thanks for providing your favorites. It's so helpful. I have the Vernix on my wish list. I'm still experimenting with the AB The Cream and The Rich Cream. I bought the mini set so I could compare. I'm having pretty good comfortable skin since I started. It's very annoying to not know how much I have in the bottle. At my age and skin conditions, I'm almost happy to have a neutral result. I love the Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel. It's like a powdered cleanser that provides cleansing and light exfoliation. Oh, the Barbara Sturm calming serum must be a little miracle worker. Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year.

M Wall- I thought the the Lait ViP 02 - felt a little different when I got it- a bit thinner than what I was used to too. So when I was talking to my BR friend -MAYA- she mentioned she had the same feeling and that they had tweaked the formulation. IT is not terrible-- I just think the EV version is a bit thicker and creamier. Once I finish up this bottle I will be going back to EV. Happy New Year Abby! I am 65 if I hadn't mentioned it before (my mind still thinks I'm 19 and I've been told sometimes I act like a 12 year old...lol) My point is for ME I also think at my age that less is definitely more. I still do some acids and once a week Retinol but my skin most of the time just wants to be left alone.....which I can't seem to do! I have taken care of my skin since I was a teenager so I think my skin looks darn good for my age. On the other hand I'm finding that it likes more calming products, I'm not dry in fact I am a bit oily most of the time. I recently was going to delve into the IS Cosmetics Youth Intensive Cream (expensive too) but from what little I've heard I think it may be too much for my skin. I got a sample of that Osmosis Mango Mask in an order I had placed and I really do like it. I like you, wear it to bed at night and most importantly my skin loves it and it's not too expensive! I really enjoyed this Abby! I am going to watch your Beauty Video now. Also would be interested in products that Calm the skin....I don't have red or irritated skin but am leaning more toward good products that "feed" the skin instead of something that peels and irritates....if you know what I mean. Sorry so long...ugh! Love you! xxoo

Beverly- I am learning that I need to TEMPER my TINKERING! I often get excited about TREATMENTS (harsh)and my skin does not like it and then it takes weeks to repair and I am like - why did I do that. LOL! SO yes- this year I am going to go with a LESS is MORE approach and NOURISH the skin. After my horrible rosacea outbreak- which I think I triggered with a micro-needling/vitamin a treatment - it took 4 months for my skin to calm down and repair itself. We think the aesthetician applied a topical that is a no/no after micro-needling - and I have had one session done without incident recently- BUT I am always scared. @@beverlysaylor7339 so that serum did really help calm my skin but I got it on SALE and would hate for you to spend $$$ on it - full price - if you know what I mean. LOL! The biggest help has been using a creamy cleanser to cleanse my skin, I swear by the Lotion P50 V for equalizing and balancing my skin and then finding a good hydrating moisturizer that works for your skin. I know the acid seems counterintuitive to the CALMING process but my skin really responded well to creamy, cleanser, Lotion P50v and then the BR Vernix masque. That is what I started with and my skin calmed down. I do LOVE serums but too many actives can also be problematic. SO when I have a little outbreak- I will go back to basics and yes- that calming serum helps but reducing the product load is probably more beneficial. Does that make sense?

@@AbbyBlissWhite That makes a WORLD of sense! You are so sweet to give me all that info. Yeah, I wouldn't buy that BS without a sale, definitely. For some reason that Knock Out Toner by Tarte that's supposed to be a dupe for that P50, my skin does like that, just a couple times a week but I would like to try the one you mentioned. Thank you so much Sweet Abby for helping me! I know now what I have to do. I feel so much better! 😘

We have a lot in common! Funnily, I am also finishing the Sisley eye cream and need a recommendation for a majorly moisturizing and firming eye cream. Do you know anything about the BR Biofixine eye cream? I was also contemplating the Sublimage. My skin is really in need of the ultimate right now (lost weight, winter skin, and years adding up). Your routine has worked very well for you! Another question: Is the Barbara Sturm Rich cream more moisturizing than BR creme MSR H? Thanks in advance!
@AbbyBlissWhite
@AbbyBlissWhite 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Marianne- we are in the same boat! Okay- so the eye creams i am looking at are the BR Biofixine (I have tried a sample and liked it)- the Retrouve Eye Serum, Sublimage, and now the Derm Institute Eye Cream that Jessie just talked about in the above comment. As far as the Sturm Rich Cream- it is SO hydrating but does not feel heavy. I did love the MSR H but it would feel HEAVY sometimes on the skin. Let me know what you decide and I will do the same!

@@AbbyBlissWhite Ooh, that Derm Institute cream looks good too - a lot of peptides! I see you only "liked" the Biofixine. It's hard: I go to the spa, I spend a lot, but they are so stingy with samples. I always have to ask and they usually don't have the good ones :(. I think they send a lot to the people that do mail order, but don't give them to facial clients. Crazy. It's hard to decide, because I really want so much from my eye cream right now (more than is reasonable, probably). The Sisleya was pleasant, but didn't do anything. FYI, I must be drier than you, because the MSR H didn't feel heavy for me, but I'm in my latest 50s, so that may make sense. I'm even finding my beloved Future Skin to get a little dry-looking as the day passes now. Have you tried the Sublimage foundation and is that more hydrating or is any other foundation compared to FS? I'm looking more towards medium coverage at this point. Sorry for the novel.
@AbbyBlissWhite

@@marianneg7571 I just don't remember being like 'I have to get this eye cream ASAP' regarding the Biofixine and only try a sample. I had a very similar experience - after going to NYC and getting a facial from Rescue Spa - $$$$ and then buying some $$$ products- they did not give me any other samples. I was sort of like REALLY?? I know I should have asked but was sort of shocked they did not include or offer after spending so much money with them. I do have the Sublimage Foundation and am actually wearing that TODAY. It is a really hydrating nice foundation and it gives you a light to medium coverage. I love it! I feel like it gets better by the end of the day too. Now there is a REALLY expensive eye cream that they use at Rescue Spa - MBR SMOOTH EYE CREAM 100- amzn.to/2Xs9Aiz . ($$$$- but AMAZING!) It is crazy expensive but was the most amazing eye cream I have ever tried but I just can't spend that much on an eye cream.... or at least not right now. LOL!! I hope this helps! xoxo

@@AbbyBlissWhite It's good to know you like the Sublimage foundation! I may need to hit the counter and try to score some eye cream samples. Before I found out I had a BR salon in my city I had contacted Rescue Spa to get the P50 and their recommendations and they recommended that eye cream highly! But, yeah, that's a little much, especially without trying in person! It sounds fabulous, though! I just noticed that it's mediocre at this point, as they now sell the MBR the BEST eye for $1,222.00! I don't even want to know..... I think the Chanel counter will be next, wasn't sure, because once you stop there, you're not going to hear about other brands, like La Prairie. I'll report back and I'll check out your channel, of course :).

@Abby Bliss White Well, got the Sublimage eye cream! The Chanel rep put a little over my makeup under one eye and it looked better immediately, felt better, too, so I was sold. She told me it was the best-selling eye cream in our NM. She also gave samples of Sublimage creme (x2), masque, cleanser, and made me a sample of foundation in 12 (I'm even paler than I thought, but it seems a lovely match), so I'm going to see if my fine lines are going to look diminished after this. At any rate, this is how you treat customers: you help them and give them stuff to try - if it's good, they'll come back for more!

I use the BR Lotion P50 V version twice a day - pretty much everyday - unless I am doing a retinol at night and on those days- just use the retinol serum- no Lotion P50. I have used the Elta in the past and both of these are physical sunscreens- Glo = Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide 6.5%, Zinc Oxide 8.6%. This one is very moisturizing but it is not greasy. I have used EltaMD, all physical, both untinted and tinted. I completely switched to Glo because it is excellent for my sensitive, acne-rosacea skin. It does sink in ...leaving no white cast. It doesn’t pill under my makeup (Chantecaille Future Skin) or cause any other issues. I adore it, as Abby got me hooked. I have at least seven different physical sunscreens, but Glo is my favorite. I will sometimes use Colorescience Sunforgettable Face Shield Tinted SPF 50 on a no makeup day. Hope this helps.

Dermatologist recommended Elta brand. Using Elta 45 for face and body for the longest time I thought it was physical sunblock but recently discovered it also has octinoxate which is chemical. Some of their products do not have that ingredient. Will definitely try Glo. Thank you so much for your response Abby and Tammy.

dksosajfl ~ EltaMD is also recommended by my dermatologist. I must use all physical SPF because chemicals such as avobezone and octinoxate burn by face and eyes. For a few years, I used EltaMD’s UV PHYSICAL SPF 41. It’s approved for post-procedure skin. It’s lightly tinted. It has a mousse texture, but it’s slightly darker than my pale skin. (I typically wear the shade porcelain in foundation.) I have also used EltaMD’s UV REPLENISH SPF 44. It’s nice, but too moisturizing for me. (I was using Colorescience Sunforgettable Face Shield over that in the center of my face for coverage, but I’d have to powder it down. I tend to be oily.) Indeed there are excellent EltaMD products, but Glo just performs better for me under foundation. Just wanted to clarify that Glo is my personal preference.
