I m 57 years old, born in the mid 60s. I can remember Saturday nights at the skating rink and couples skating to this. The Bee Gees were magical. FIRE as most young folks call it now days. Also Barry wrote a lot of songs that other musicians or groups sang. He was a master song writer.

They are singing in falsetto (vocal tone), and the three brothers sang in the same key whereby it was sometimes hard to tell who was singing what ... One of the BEST GROUPS the World has ever seen/heard ...

I'm 70 so fo course I have heard this many times but today I learned the lyrics. I always thought they were singing " woman to woman" not " more than a woman! But then, it was years before I learned the lyrics or the song " Bad moon on the rise" was "There's a bad moon on the rise" and not " There's a bathroom on the right". True story! Man, I hate when an artist gets the words wrong!
@erickent35572 жыл бұрын
Goddamn, that hi-hat... if I had half the soul and swing from that one damn thing, I'd say I'm a success. Stoked you're feeling the lyrics and style. Barry Gibb is an effing treasure to the human race. I'm an old punk rocker, but hell we've gotten wayyyy too cynical for our own good.

The Twins are absolutely killing it on the pre-chorus and the chorus, aren't they? Barry handles the verses well enough (the lyrics are great and it can't be easy to sing something so dense so smoothly), but when Robin and Maurice come in, the song really shines. (I want to give Robin primary credit, but I might be selling Maurice short, I admit.) Speaking of selling things short, I probably don't listen to this one as often as I might because I'm always reminded of the Weird Al parody, which is hilarious. I'm not even going to tell you the title, because why distract you as I have been? Always fun. Keep it up.
