Big topic here so, not trying to present the end all fix for everyone. just some conceptual thoughts on snare drum tunning that I've come up with over the past few decades. I hope you find something useful to add to your regimen!

Very cool. I appreciate the concepts and breakdown. I've been looking for ways to lessen the snares volume and get a warmer/more shell sound. I'll have to try the shorter wires idea.
