It is difficult to exactly discover when the rest of the show was filmed, but it is without doubt in saying she was 14 AT MOST when the show was filmed but 15 when it aired. She was without a doubt 13 when she tried out and was cast for the role.

I used to watch this in highschool--it's so nastolgic seeing it again. I was so disappointed when they didn't keep it on. I loved Jordan, was like Angela, but wanted to be like Rayanne. This scene is classic, I totally felt Angela's pain. The sad thing is, I'm 32 and I still feel like Angela.

Almost 41 over here so we all appreciated this as teens in the mid ‘90s. Only 19 precious episodes made - the pilot shot in ‘94, the rest in ‘95. I have them all on disc and the story book too 🥳! It’s easy to forget what high school was like. Sounds cliche but Winnie Holzman reminds us by capturing the raw adolescent “angst” we all once felt. The beautiful and messy characters will forever live in my heart ❤️.

Just started watching the episodes again for the second time. Love this show. Also, everybody needs to acknowledge that Rayanne may have issues and flaws, but she is one of those strong girls you want to be friends with and need. As the series goes on, she makes mistakes but in this scene, we see she does something not a lot of girls will do or have the balls to do for their friend. She gives Angela "life" both in good and bad ways, but in the end, this scene shows that despite her issues, she cares for her and stands up for her. True friendship in womanhood. As for Rayanne, she made Angela feel alive and essentially, that's what life is about.

I'm not so sure that Rayanne cared about Angela. She envied her,, tried to live through her. Remember what Rayanne answered Danielle (Angela's sister) once: " Nothing happens in my life so I make it happen ".She needed therapy, professional help, to get rid of her toxic mother and perhaps less self pity. Charity work wouldn't be a bad idea, taking care of elders maybe.

When Jordan tells Angela she's crowding him at the pool table,i think it's an interesting metaphor about how he feels she's crowding him in their relationship,not giving him the space he desires both physically,and emotionally. He wants her,but doesn't want her too close,which winds up pushing her away,until he has to go after her to bring her back,which ultimately brings them closer together. Seperation brings closeness.

So this show was my escape even though I was just out of high school. My friends I thought were my friends weren't. Brings back a lot memories though. Time for a binge watch.

First let me start off by saying this is absolutely one of my favorite shows of all time it's such a shame that it ended I was in high school during this era and this is exactly how it was nothing like the high school shows you see now like euphoria. That being said I absolutely loved Reyanns character. I love how they showed how a true high School friendship can be fickle. I myself have been like Angela. I had tight friends that I have known for years and my sophomore year I just didn't have the same connection or things in common as much as we grew older and we were finding ourselves. Reyann might have battled her demons with alcohol and partying, she totally had Angela's back and check Jordan in front of his friends. She knew that Jordan was keeping Angela a little secret as if he was ashamed to tell his friends while Angela's friend's knew the whole story. And as much as I do love rey for sticking up for angela... She don't have s*** on Sharon. Sharon still had her back and supported her in this scene and her feelings even after Angela pushed her away and wasn't there when Sharon needed her most. Reyann was a total awesome friend for stepping up for Angela but she definitely is not a BFF. Because depression addiction or not she could have been with any guy in the world but she gave in and slept with Jordan😢. And Sharon accepted her friendship back with open arms even after she pushed her away for reyann. It hurts me because I was like Angela I had a tight relationship with a really down-to-earth girl we are tight come high school year she was more into the drama scene and straight a student and I started dating the bad boys and smoking pot. The wildest part about it is when I first became friends with her it was actually the other way around she had a lot of toxic relationships and she knew how to party and get down and be a bad girl ditch and all that. And I was the goody goody I wouldn't even smoke weed or even drink alcohol I had a boyfriend who I was loyal to for years we lost her virginity to each other all that. And it was like the rules just reversed. Broke up with the guy I lost my virginity with and was dating for almost 3 years hooked up with some f$ckboy he dumped me and I was all devastated and I just started smoking pot to take away those feelings.. and the rest was history I came into high School a straight-A student who had never touched any drug not even weed I was still with my junior high boyfriend. And I left high School with mostly D's I barely made it to graduation. I was not only a full-time pothead at that point but I was also an opiate addict by Vicodin a day and then I upped it to oxycontin. In the cherry on top or should I say in the s*** turd on top was I just started dating a 20 year old dude who I only knew for a month who was on parole LOL and he got arrested.😅😅 It is so not funny at all looking back at it but it just blows me away as I'm writing this it's opening up my mind to my life I should write a book lol.
