"Have a routine in place that you can realistically follow every single day, but also understand that you cannot do everything at once" Exactly! That's exactly what I have been thinking about! You cant do anything at once, you need to be consistent every day. If you try to take everything on then you are just gonna fail and feel like its impossible. If you do things every day you will succed. In my case: If I try to study everything the last minute ill fail. If I study consistently(which I have started doing) I can get A on every single test and get straight As throughout highschool(which I am going to do) and still have time for me left! Consistency is key, you can't do everything at once and balance is key. This was exactly what I needed to hear, thank you! I have been thinking about this and now you confirmed it to me, that I am moving in the right direction! Wise words from a Wise man. Good luck on the rest of the journey that we call Life, Luke :)

3:36 the US salaries could seem huge, but those numbers are pre-taxes, and taxes could be significant in some states. also, in the US there are no retirement payments or healthcare from the government so americans have to take care about it themselves. and the overall cost of living in the US is enormous compared to most other countries, from house prices to things like parking your car in a wrong place is a $600 fine in some places. So, yes it is possible to make bigger money from working in the US, but it takes a lot of lawyers consultations to make it smart.

I live with a roommate, tax is 40% in NYC 160k salary tax is what, 35%? so youre left with lets just say 100k, you rent with a roommate for $5000 so you each oay 2.5k 100k - 30k = 70k food, cook at home, ground beef is like $6 per pound lets give the benefit of the doubt someone is reckless and spends $1k on food each month now were at 58k for the year according to google health insurance is 8k per year youre left with 50k after everything is set and done? how is that not more than what im left with since its my yearly income also regarding the school, sure finland is a GREAT place to grow up as a kid, for getting wealthy, not so much BTW for the calculations im only considering stuff that I would personally have as expenses

Now would you say the only thing that differentiates the salary between USA vs your country is due to the massive difference in living costs?
@LukeMadeIt11 ай бұрын
hey! this seems to be a common question i think i should make a video breaking down my expenses aswell what do you think? all in all once everything is set im 99.9% sure that US people are still left with more at the end of the day the taxes in finland are quite high and food etc is not the cheapest
@jtrades_11 ай бұрын
@@LukeMadeIt for sure bro would be a great video. How much is average rent cost there for you a month?

it can be as low as 500€/month depends where you live but mine is 1k i live with a roommate in this apartment 🤝

Isn't Finland one of the countries with the happiest people? I think that's worth more than any soul sucking job in North America. On the flip side, isn't Finland's income tax like 50%, so you're actually taking home less than 30k?
@LukeMadeIt11 ай бұрын
tbh idk how those studies are done because this place is gray and dark 9 months of the year 🤣 the taxation is a bit tricky but 50% applies if you make more than 100k/year

It's true that USA SWE salaries are crazy high. But with that triple salary in SF, you'll be living in a worse apartment with homeless people and drug addicts right on your doorstep. You get a lot of money in the USA but have a lower quality of life.

thats probably true too 👀 though honestly i wouldnt mind a few years in NYC or california, think it would benefit the channel aswell content wise + all the other creators out there

@@LukeMadeIt it depends on where you are in the US honestly. You can make 20-30k less in other states but your cost of living is way way less. I personally would stay away from New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. If you ever move to the US and you love the big cities, I recommend Dallas Texas, Orlando Florida, Minneapolis Minnesota, or Raleigh North Carolina. You can make the same amount in these cities without the outrageous living expenses.

You would get the same salary in Germany for a Junior Dev. Btw, higher salary in the US means more expense, and you are living ina literally cool country. Why do you wanna go to the US?
@LukeMadeIt9 ай бұрын
several reasons actually, 1. being videos and all the other creators in LA / NYC 2. being oay, ive answered many comments on this video about this but you can easily be left with way more in the US after taxes etc. if youre not an idiot with your money and you dont have to take my word for it can check out other peoples salary breakdowns
