Fun fact, I "technically" solo flawlessed this dungeon as a hunter, but because I got an error code during Ecthar & it immediately joined me back, it counted as me leaving the activity, so RIP 2 hours of me trying to do that & having to do it all over again. Wish me luck this weekend

Man, I needed 6 hours for this. First encounter and Ecthar about an hour and a half together, with only one wipe. What got me fucked was the final boss. I died over and over again. But I did it, kept on trying and trying. Congrats to you, man!

Yeah man it's insane. Me and my friend two man every dungeon have done every dungeon multiple times with just the two of us. But.... this final boss... is fucking crazy... We haven't been able to pull it off as a duo yet. We barely got through it with a third. It's pretty crazy. I did get the exotic on the first clear though so I'm so very grateful for that. I don't wanna have to be farming this shit.

I have a personal vendetta against whatever dev added the "without leaving the activity" line to this triumph, after being kicked at the final boss because of server maintainance I was apready mad enough, but then I did it all again, got her to the final sliver of health, then got slapped in the face by Vor'lorg because my healing decided to take a vacation. And then the rest of the evening was hell because I couldn't take a break to de-tilt because it would kick me from the activity. Why the HELL do you only get rewarded for one of the hardest things in the game if you deprive yourself of all breaks and get lucky with BUNGIE's spagetti code?

That's how solo's always worked, you couldn't leave or get error coded. They added that line to the triumph just to clarify how it works because so many people didn't realize they couldn't just leave the dungeon and come back the next day to finish it

As someone that likes soloing dungeons. This is one I've absolutely no interest in doing. It doesn't feel challenging, it feels tedious as it's just alot of back n forth busy work, even compared to some older ones. Especially with that repeated damage phase mechanic and the symbols n such in the final room to then only get a kinda meh damage window on an annoying gnat that wont stop shimmying heh

If you kill the knights they don't spawn till the dmg phase is over, it's super helpful when it come to survival. Also void and arc resist mods are key.

@Mottbox you run the risk of being mowed down my the acolytes that shoot void and solar fire nades

@@Mottbox double stacking resistances provides diminishing returns, void resistance is a must have over two arc. Not only are you getting protection from acolytes, which are a death sentence if left unchecked thanks to chipping your health enough to get you into 1 shit territory from lucent hive attacks and moths, but the knight's shields, which are by far the most potent source of damage in final boss alongside moths, meaning you have a lot more leniency on unfortunate bounces and ai (he has a tendency of following you down the side while sat there waiting for his super to run out)

Another tip, moths spawn every time a knew risen knight spawns, when completing a symbol through the circle, always look at the boss for the knight to spawn and deal with moths immediately. She occasionally spawns them if you've spent more than 5 minutes sorting symbols out, but after they're all visible, she won't spawn any additional ones. If you aren't on synthos throwing hammer titan (which you should be leaving chest symbol to last to burn her health with your super, arby and legendary linear leave you with what cross had, an absurdly long fight with very inconsistent damage), then there is a spot on oryx's head between the line of bones at the edge of the circular green rune on the floor that allows you to headpoke the final boss and she can't damage you, it's incredibly good for arc hunter (which I would say is the easiest to solo and solo flawless this dungeon on with assassin's cowl and liars handshake) and any other subclass. One final thing, is using double special for increased heavy ammo drops (trace rifle as a primary of sorts), and a bipod rocket to boos your reserves to max when you swap to a DPS loadout using sleeper, Levi's breath, etc. The bipod rocket giving you 12 rockets means you'll always be capped regardless of what you swap to. It's incredibly good for arby setups so you can pop shield and swap to a better DPS weapon

@@Mottbox it's not huge, it doesn't stop you from receiving damage thresholds, you'll die to the same amount of shots with the mod as without, look up the numbers if you want confirmation. Having a void resist will however push you over thresholds, like 1 arc mod does. Believe me, it's been tested, it benefits you more to cover two damage types.

@@poncho_426 hunter in my opinion. The melee has a big AOE plus you go invisible every kill which give you a bit of time to breathe. As you saw w cross, if you miss your hammer you're fkkd. Ads love to side step out the blue, plus sometimes the hammer doesn't return back even if you do hit for some reason, so if it a boomer or Lucent & don't 1shot , you have to look for it as you keep getting shot at (non stop)

Last season I only had the solo dungeon challenge to complete to get Guardian Rank 11. During the boss fight in Spire my game froze up just like Cross's did....except mine was right before my final DPS phase to finish off the boss. I was so mad I didn't even yell or anything. I just turned off my computer, walked to my room, and went to bed in silence. Mad respect for those who grind out the solo dungeons on the regular though. It's not an easy feat. Hey Aztecross here's a build you may like. Warlock with contraverse hold, voidwalker with vortex grenade. Aspects, chaos accelrrant, feed the void. Fragments, echo of remnants, echo of undermining, echo of persistence, echo of instability. Artifact mods, unto the breach, protective breach, supernove. I like to use a weapon that has repulsor brace on it. It's 24/7 grenades and overshields.

I put this on the forums but I’m tired of it getting overlooked. Could you please test this out? It used to be one of the most fun builds pre lightfall Some of you fellow titans in pre lightfall, may have used a build with the original mod heavy handed. This caused you to gain half of your melee energy back when you had a charge of light. Mk44 stand asides worked with this at the same time. It was a very fun build to use. Now in lightfall. Melee kickstart has become the new heavy handed. When melee kickstart is equipped as well as mk44 stand asides. The mk44’s would take priority over melee kickstart. Resulting in the mod never activating. I was really disappointed about this change and I hope this gains some traction as it was one of my favorite builds to use as a titan (ya know the tanky BRAWLER class) thanks for interacting with this so Bungie sees it!

Honestly, as a former Titan main (now Hunter), watching his run is just reminding me how much Titan is like playing Destiny on easy mode. Not sorry, send all the hate you want, but it's true. Even been experiencing it myself. Tried out Sunbreaker again recently. Even the halfassed Hallowfire Heart build I made is on par with the best "meta" Assassin's Cowl Arcstrider and Gyrfalcon's Voidwalker setups that I've been using over the last year.

FYI after you get a single hammer kill, a regular uncharged melee will continue to proc stacks of roaring flames, radiant, sunspots, restoration, scorch stacks, and orbs from heavy handed. Throw the hammer once and then punch away.

I used tracking rockets on the final boss for my solo flaw. I could jump in the air and shoot and not have to worry about ads during dmg. Its a pretty consistent 5 phase. You could also do the bipod swap to levi for more dmg, but then your on the ground again.

How did you get a 5 phase? I got a 6 phase at best, though I definitely don't have the optimal build or rocket. Crafted bump in the night is the best I got, so I still need a god roll cold comfort, or other adaptive/aggressive frame. I use tracking rockets too, and switch my chest piece to pick up extra reserves.

@@infinitedeath1384 I used 1 arby shot, 1 full hammer super, and 6-10 shots of an explosive light tracking hothead per dmg phase. It might be possible to 4 phase if I could actually hit all my rockets or even get 11 off for multiple DMG phases (pick a brick up during dmg). 11 rockets was the highest I was able to get off in any run I did.

@@roundraccoon6141 I see... Here's a tip. If you're not running double special already, do so because you will be up to your shoulders in heavy ammo. Next, try to start the damage phase where you see heavy lying around. Pop her shields the moment you start damage phase. I've heard this makes her not move around so much. Make sure not to use deep sight too quickly after finishing a damage phase, as that can trigger a glitch that makes deep sight not work. If I remember right, cold comfort can roll with tracking and explosive light, and has 10 ammo at base, so it's a good idea to farm it. I definitely think it's the explosive light giving your damage the edge over mine, bump in the night doesn't have it so I use vorpal. Oh and since I'm on titan, I've been using hammer to proc radiant during damage phase, and using the super only when I either get low on health, or run out of heavy.

@@jasond1775 He definitely could using loader mods and rally barricade, which increases your reload speed when you stand behind it. I've gotten 11 shots off before too, and had time to use my entire super after. It'd be even easier with clown cartridge or envious assassin.
