Me personally, I’m tired of seeing and listening to Ben Crump. Is there not anyone else? I’m sure she loves her son, but the video shows what her son did. Now, it’s he was just trying to get home, he wanted to get to me to feel safe, he was scared, and he was so close to home etc. What killed him, the bullet or the crash? Did he deserve to die, no but did the officer deserve to be dragged like he was? As black mothers, we keep upholding our kids when they are wrong. I would grieve in silence because the video shows what happened. We ‘ll just ignore the fact that he took his foot and push the officer out the car at what looks to be a high rate of speed and that he stopped complying. We’ll focus on a white cop has killed another black man. I can’t ride with this one. Condolences to the family.

This young man simply made a very poor decision that unfortunately cost him his life and put a police officer in critical condition. It was reckless and unnecessary for him to do what he did and not good for the mother to even remotely justify her sons actions.

it's all on video. Jarveon tried to kill the police officer by either driving over him and kicking him out of fast moving car. The officer was justified in shooting - no question about it. I do feel sorry for the mother to lose her son but her son made a very bad decision that costed him his life.

How dare this "mother" claim her son was just trying to get home. When the suspect pulled off with the cop inside that caused a life and death risk for the officer resulting in the shooting of this suspect. Not to mention he wasn't following police commands as the police officer tried to stop him from getting into the car. The police officer should have made sure the vehicle was turned off. This death could have been prevented if the suspect obeyed commands and didn't try yo flee from a traffic stop. Fleeing a traffic stop and endangering a police officer is a criminal action. Trying to justify or claim the suspect's actions were irrelevant to him getting shot is beyond delusional.
