John is my favorite. Seems like a beautiful man in his private life with his family. I also feel he had a deep and quiet connection with Freddie. The quiet grace, respect, and dignity wouldn't allow him to fake anything without Freddie. Thanks John for the music. Live a beautiful life and know you were part of something that brought millions so much happiness. Thats a gift. You've completed one of a many personal missions in your life.

I love John Deacon if for no other reason (there are many many) but most for his love of Freddie. His loyalty and dedication to him too me just spoke volumes about the kind of man he is. I mean he could have "cashed in" as we say in America post Freddie in many ways but he didn't. Love John Deacon. A good man.

I don't think Roger and Brian are "cashing in".. they already had hundreds of millions of pounds.. they keep playing their music for the love of doing it. John is just different, he doesn't care about playing anymore.. fair enough. It's not about money.

@@Oh_I_Will What angers me most about that particular video is the loudmouth imbecile shooting it, speaking in a very brash and condescending manner, I wanted to punch him hard in the mouth, along with the idiots taking flash pictures with their stupid phones, which upset him as well. There were a few decent people and he recovered long enough to be nice to them, but the rest were bloody soulless assholes. Personally I can't figure out why he doesn't live in Switzerland. It's a crime to be worth $120,000,000 and not spend at least a little bit of it on living the good life.

John's personality is It is similar to the temperament of ancient Japanese. "Keep silence and become a shadow power" That is Japanese virtue. I think John was supporting the Queen.
@julietlambert14715 жыл бұрын
I love this, feel deeply that John was right to say Freddie was irreplaceable. By leaving the stage after beautiful Freddie's death John created an eloquent silence - his absence from performing remains a powerful testament to the unequalled charisma and unrivalled talent of Freddie, to all the joy and warmth that he gave.
@mercuryrising43234 жыл бұрын
@@julietlambert1471 Deacon demonstrates friendship is nothing without loyalty even in death. His silence speaks volumes to this assertion. He has a moral compass. The other two, May and Taylor cannot surrender their egos which they place above their friendship with Freddie Mercury and pretend their departed friend would approve of that imposter Adam Lambert . They in my view besmirch the friendship they claim they had with Freddie Mercury unlike John Deacon whose dignified silence shouts I was a true friend and I honour you.

You captured the essence of this handsome, kind looking musician. The song you chose makes me think of maybe his relationship with Freddie, who he always seemed to be happiest around, after his lucky wife and kids. I hope John knows that there is a large public who love him for what he gave us, but want him to have the privacy he wants and deserves. The recently captured pictures of him looking harassed and unhappy, with little doubt taken without his consent during the film mania, should be buried under these types of tributes. I hope he is doing okay. I enjoyed watching this. Thanks.

mommasfamily1 - My fave too. A fan since the 70's. What struck me most about John, besides thinking he was handsome, talented, loyal to Freddie and all of his other attributes, is that he seemed so "normal". He seemed like a neighbor you would say "hi" to over the fence or invite in for a cup of tea. His band mates said he was the one who just wanted to go to Sainsbury's (or whatever local store) and be unnoticed. Sadly his fame deprived him of what he always said he wanted to be....normal. I hope he has achieved some of that now. I saw Queen live and he struck me as totally absorbed in the music and loving his craft. I even received a couple of smiles because, while most were watching Freddie, I watched him. I think he appreciated being acknowledged but did not want the spotlight and the glare that fame brought. He just wanted to make beautiful music, and that he did!

Thanks for this nice video. I love John Deacon as well. It seemed like he was the understated member of Queen, but in reality, he was just as talented and important to the band as the others. He contributed some great songs, amazing bass playing and built the amp that the band used in concerts. He was intelligent, creative, talented, kind, quiet, sensitive and cute. I love watching him play bass in videos because he would dance around to the music in perfect rhythm. He had soul! I read that he cared very much for Freddie and took his death very hard and didn’t want to go on with Queen without him. That’s loyalty.
