Hello my dears! Gather 'round and let Auntie tell you a story. This story is a quest. Our heroine is a mother with three wild boys to tame.
The mother cannot find a spelling program to fit her and her family. She bravely strikes out into the wide wide worldwide web to cast her net in an attempt to wrangle home the elusive spelling patterns, the mysterious phonics, and the exotic and rarely understood syllable.
Our daring adventuress returns home with her prizes. She lovingly and critically crafts her ideal spelling program. One that's not too much for her to teach and not too little for her pupils to learn. She keeps her elusive, mysterious, and exotic finds safely stowed in the schoolroom.

I agree with you … the logic of English phonics program is way too much .. I use her book (LoE) as reference And, like you developed our own spelling program. Thanks for sharing that Fulford book, it looks good, but we have enough resources.

Thank you for this! When do you start teaching them spelling? At the same time you start teaching them reading, after they know their letter sounds? Thanks if you get a chance to answer!

That's what I do. Personally I teach all the letter sounds A-Z and then move into CVC words with this resource, probably in kindergarten to early first grade depending on your child. There is a cursive version of it too. Then on to the McGuffey Primer for reading and I continue to practice CVC spelling during that time. When you feel they are ready you can move them into the McGuffey Spelling Book or any spelling program of your choice.
