Hey Joe, great to see you out on the road again. Hope to catch your show soon! Weird observation: I noticed your fingers have a double-jointed appearance on your left hand. My instructor has this as well and I see it as an advantage for all kinds of techniques around the fret board. Wondered if you noticed this? Best wishes!

It’s a shame because their pedals sound really good. I think for a reverb or delay it wouldn’t be an issue but I stomp my loopers pretty hard

Not dissing Maton, love and own Matons, i just bought an acoustic from a Gold Coast builder "Fenech" guitars .. really high standard Fenech VTHPro was what i purchased and its sounds divine..excellent inbuilt mic also, Have fun on the tour and thanks for vid! Hi Joe. Love your music! Would you give more details about how you'd feed the PA in venues from the Da Capo 75 (acoustic side only). Do you send the clean DI with no effect or the wet/EQed line to the mixing console ? I'd like to buy that amp but still unsure how to do things best for keeping control over my sound while assuring maximum fidelity to the audience... Thanks!
@Joe_Robinson10 ай бұрын
I usually send the line out so I have more control of the reverb and can use the master volume to send more to the house if needed. You have to be careful making those kind of adjustments from stage, but I prefer having that control.
@herveamiot10 ай бұрын
@@Joe_Robinson Thank you so much for your time Joe, it really helps me a lot! Does the control of the EQ matter much to you ? I hope I'll get to see you live and meet you in France soon ☺

Would you ever consider going to Canada for a show with lots of people who love live music in Toronto and it's a pretty safe city all things considered? The Mandates on bars/venues were just dropped maybe there is still drama getting through the Border over here idk worth looking into

Joe, Love the rig rundown but I do have a question. How do you set up the RC-1 with the FS-7? Are you just using channel A on the FS-7? Is the FS-7 set on polarity 1 and the FS-5U mode? Thanks for your help and all the great videos.
@Joe_Robinson2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim! Yes I’m just using one channel of each FS-7, I forget the latch/polarity setting but it works for turning off the looper which is all I need it for

The neck on my Maton 808 is awful. Only way to keep notes from sounding dead or buzz is to ensure neck relief. Then I get other issues around first fret. Guess you and Tommy get luthier work done before you play?
@Joe_Robinson2 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, I always advise people to have a luthier setup their instrument. This is necessary with any acoustic guitar you buy, in my opinion. Glaser Instruments in Nashville does my setup work, they work on Tommy’s guitars also.
@peterpowder85462 жыл бұрын
@@Joe_Robinson thanks Joe. Are you planning on touring in the New Jersey area any time? Would love to come out and see you. My wife and I saw you and Tommy Emmanuel play together many years ago up in my neck of the woods

Get a real guitar, Martin, Taylor, Gibson. Im aussie but am pretty disappointed with Maton. Their timbers are still green after coming out of the drier and will often warp within 12 months. Had one that I paid 2.half grand for that crazed like mad. No doubt that the top level musos get their own spec guitars but dont expect too much if you are an unknown. Go elsewhere. Theres a guy called Joe Gallagher in Lavington NSW that makes INCREDIBLE guitars. Seriously (and NO I do not get any spotters fee). HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend his instruments.
@Joe_Robinson2 жыл бұрын
Will keep an eye out of the Joe Gallaghers guitars! Completely disagree with you on everything else in this message. Maton make some of the most consistently well built, great sounding workhorse guitars on the market. This instrument I am playing is exactly the same as one you can buy in a store. You may prefer a Martin, Taylor or Gibson and that is fine - but don't confuse marketing dollars spent with quality of the instruments these companies make. All the best..
