Me too! The stock speakers are getting better but nothing beats an upgraded system. I can actually hear more of the sound features of the Star Wars games with the new speakers. My Killer Instinct cabinet has the nicest sound system of them all since the game sounds so damn good!

Thanks Tom! I’m happy to have this one done but already trying to finish my plans for my light gun build! That’s going to be the most expensive one by far though. I hope it will be done by early next year. It can be fun and frustrating to change up the build style, I’ll be doing something pretty different with the light gun cab. Hopefully it comes out as I want and everyone enjoys it.

Great job. Glad to know that gas can simply be mapped to the triggers. I’m gonna mod mine soon and I didn’t think pressing forward on the yoke for gas looked comfortable at all.

Thanks! Yeah, I’m glad I found that. If I remember correctly, map the trigger to “Pedal 1 inc”. That’s what worked for me.

Get the other half of the machine and mod it as well. Custom blue cushion, led lights would be really nice. Maybe even a couple solenoids under the seat if its possible.

I put star wars battlepod on mine its like an updated version of sw trilogy using teknoparrot launcher really fun game!

I had it running on my test PC but that one ha as graphics card. I was hoping I could get away without one but it ran horribly lol. I’ll put a card in this cab soon and get it going. I remember struggling with the patch to make it 16:9 instead of curved. Hopefully I can make it all work.

I'm going to follow this mod when I get my Star Wars cab in this week. Do you need any specific PC requirements in order to run Star Wars trilogy? I know you need a graphics card in order to run something like Battle Pod but I don't think I'm going to go that far and wasn't sure what the cut off was technically speaking with this computer. I'm using the same PC that you suggest in your mods. Thank you!

Thanks, still using LaunchBox! It’s nice that I only had to pay for it once but can use it on multiple builds. I don’t customize the front ends much but there’s a ton of options to do it if you’re into that.

I don't do mods for people for a number of reasons. But, Kongs R Us on KZbin used to mod these for people. I'm not sure if he still does.

I finished my mod but I'm having trouble calibrating the x-axis. It seems to be stuttering a lot and in-game, it takes a whole movement left or right in order to steer and isn't precise at all. No problems with the y-axis whatsoever. Did you encounter this at all? Any help would be appreciated!

I didn’t, you might try doing the full range of motion then calibrating it. Go all the way left then up, right and down to make sure the PC knows it’s full range.

Yeah it’s the on board GPU. I’m looking at a new one that’s low profile and doesn’t take as much power so I can run it in the HP. That’s the only thing I don’t like about those smaller PCs. I don’t want to have to replace the power supply too lol.

I've been thinking of doing something like this to my Star Wars 1up, but I'm not confident in my drilling ability on the deck and the plexiglass. Now that you've lived with it a few months, how many buttons do you think you need to add to play the games you've been enjoying on it?

We added 6 buttons to ours, I’ve rarely used all of them in games. If you’re okay with not having all of the view buttons for racing games like Daytona that have 4 different buttons for the views, you’ll probably be fine. With the buttons I added and the buttons on the yoke, I have 10 buttons available. It feels like the right amount to me, it’s quite a bit when you consider these are single player games.

My star wars arcade1up's monitor doesn't work. The machine turns on, I can hear the sound effects. But the screen is blank. I sprayed some bug spray into the cab, that's what probably caused it to go blank. Anyone got a solution for me?

The only thing I can think of is to open that little metal box on the back of the monitor, unplug the main wire and plug it back in.

Wish someone would buy me The Terminator 2 cabinet I bought from someone called best buy on ebay they sent me the Simpsons Cabinet by mistake I shipped it back same week got refunded for and by the time I got the refund it was too late the cabinet was back at full price and I never got a replacement cab used the refund for groceries and other things 😢
