Just discovered you 10 min ago. You have the nicest voice I’ve heard. And the way you speak is cool, it’s not a valley girl accent, nor is it clingy or over enthusiastic. It’s just.. cool. I wish I had the same voice. I can understand where you’re coming from, I think things get better as we get older, because then we also care less what others think. You’re pretty. And your personality is interesting. You probably wouldn’t be who you are today, if you didn’t have those experiences and struggles. Maybe it was rather a blessing in disguise for you, because it seems to have helped create depth and character to your soul. You’re such a multi layered person it seems. Maybe that’s why your art is so nice!

Thank you for sharing your story with us Christine. I was bullied a lot as a child and I spent ALOT of my childhood hiding away and not sharing my truth with anyone. It’s been a journey and I’m not all the way there, but I’m more open with who I am now at 34 than I was at 15. How magical is that? Very. *hug* again, thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for this video. I'm currently working on making a book, ironically about my 3 year journey of reclaiming myself and holding space for myself, which is still on going. So your words deeply resonate with me. I've been working on the book for 3 weeks now and alongside being fun, rewarding and mirroring, it has been intense, scary and anxiety inducing. Tomorrow I'm meant to send the book off o the printers, I promised it would be ready, but with my anxiety and stress over the weekend, I did my best and it's still not ready. The pages are compiled. But final details still need to be done. A little more writing, a read through and more drawing. The book isn't ready yet. What am I to do? I've been stressed all day and listening to your video today made me realize that, stressing myself out isn't going to finish the book. I accept that the book won't be ready by tomorrow. I'm sad and I know I tried my best. I'm going to continue working on the book. It's going to come together. It will take more time than I thought and it will be ready. Thank you so much.

Thank you for sharing this. I have eczema too, and I had to hear a lot of nasty things as a kid as well, espicially the question if it was contagious. Also just the fact that I had to explain myself so frequently, as early as kindergarden and elementary school, while other kids where able to just be, was hard. I understand your journey and I appreciate you being so open about it

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!!!! I'm so very proud of you and have missed you, your art, and your stories more than words can describe. Being a creator is such hard work. I used to create KZbin videos but burnt out right before the pandemic. I admire you for your dedication. This video is so different from your other content, literally a short film, and I absolutely loved it (cinematography, editing, music, STORY). I'm sure it took a TON of time to put together, but the end result is truly lovely. I hope you are pleased with it. I've never joined a Patreon before, but if I were to support any of the hundreds of creators I've watched over the 10+ years I've consumed KZbin, you would be one of the first. I was actually just thinking about you and your content and wondering how you were. I'm glad you shared this vulnerable part of yourself. It's truly a masterpiece and I look forward to more stories and art from you in the future! Take care of yourself and never stop creating! ❤

I cannot express how beautiful you are, both inside and out, and that manifests in your art , your stories and how much you inspire others. Nevermind all the negative remarks and comments and surround yourself with those who love and respect you. Be true to you, what you love and who you are. The world doesn't need people to be "picture perfect" - the world needs individuals with compassion and empathy, who have a kind heart and a beautiful soul. We need people, like you, who share your talents with others,. You have truly been missed!

You’re such a sweet thing! Girl, I really feel your pain. All of that. The skin issues, the eye issues, the perfectionism, the binge-eating, I am familiar with all of that. I’m thinking there may be others besides just the two of us. 😉 It’s sooo cool when content creators decide to be real! Social media can be very misleading. When you choose honesty, you are choosing to help many more people than just yourself. We all need to be reminded that what we see on social media is a hi-lite reel. Not only that, it’s an intentionally created hi-lite reel. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. I think many people (maybe even MOST people?) feel like they don’t fit in at one time or another. I pray you find your people- the ones that will love you no matter what. We all need those people!! Blessings Beautiful, and I’m so glad you’re back; your work is AMAZING, and you have been missed! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you very much for sharing this! Including the bit at the end where you explain how long it actually took to film - I thought several times during the video something along the lines of "sure, the work in her studio isn't over yet, but... the video still looks so good?! and the shots, the transitions, the script... how did she manage to make everything seem perfect in a video about accepting imperfection?" So, I'm not surprised it took you some time to make it that way, and I'm really glad you spoke about it - I think a big part of the problem with social media in general is that even when approaching topics like the pressure around perfection or issues with body image, people still pay A LOT of attention to how they word, edit and, well, perfect, their content. Which is not a bad thing in itself - of course we need to pay attention to the way we communicate, if we want to be seen and understood. But I believe it can make things more difficult when you try to detach yourself from impossibly high standards, because you immediately run into a form of paradox: "I don't want to be part of this sometimes-toxic culture but I still want to create quality content". So it's kind of hard to navigate. I'm not a social media influencer myself but I've had to face a realisation of that sort - that I can't achieve exactly what I had in mind because my standards are unrealistic - and the solution I'm trying to implement is, well... focusing on what I, personally, actually like, want and enjoy. Because there's a big difference between "this is the proper way to do things because people seem to like it that way" and "this is what I find interesting, beautiful or enjoyable in this activity". But that difference is not that easy to spot. And I don't know what you've planned for your next videos, but if I were to give you (or anyone reading this) an advice, it would be: don't focus on making things "look good" - focus on making it something *you* enjoy. And I'm 100% sure there will be people who resonate with it. (This comment turned out way longer than planned and now I'm worried that my advice bit just sounds presumptuous, 'cause well, it's not exactly as if I were a wise ancient on a mountain who's got everything figured myself - I'm better at writing stuff than at following my own advice. But well. If you've read this far, I wish you the most pleasant day/ morning/ evening/ night/ time is fake anyway, just do that thing you feel like doing already, and take care of yourself, this random stranger on the Internet loves you)

So glad to see you back!!! Cant wait for your new contents. Through you I learn that we are each unique in our own way. I always compare myself to people on social media too and I know thats bad. I want to change this about myself too

That's exactly right! We are all unique! Sometimes we need to just separate our identity from everything outside of us. And then we can appreciate ourselves. I'm cheering you on, Manda! 💕☺️
