Of course, the next level is adding some rock music to truly make this rock' n roll. 🪨 🎶

Sea kayaks are the best for rolling due to their rocker and sleek design. Keep those shoulder muscles strong! Wherever your at fantastic landscapes!

Great job. You and I are about the same in skills. I paddle a Tarantella. I realized just yesterday that the kayak is so LV and rolls so easily that i have been relaxing my hip snap to almost nothing and i've been letting my Kalliq paddle do all the work with my reverse sweep and C to C. I have not needed a strong hip snap with them for a long time and because of that I was generating no force. Last night I was trying my storm roll, brand new to it, and only getting 1 success out of 6 tries on my good side. I paused, and said am i even hip snapping? I really wasn't. I wnt under with came around and really kicked in a strong and ridiculous hip snap and popped right up. Both sides. The lesson to myself is foreward finish rolls need a strong hip snap, way more than my lazy reverse sweeps. I enjoy your content! Thanks for it!

@@beingaware8542 Ah yes… the leg drive is super important and I’m like you in that way, I don’t do it naturally and always have to mentally take note before I roll. You’re definitely ahead of me! My next to try is the crooked elbow roll and the armpit roll. After that I will try the first few moments of the storm roll. From what I understand, the storm roll is an extremely effective roll to have so definitely need to learn it. Would love to see your progress though..

I identify with all those emotions, after years of practice my rolls still need a lot of work but it's a great hobby in its own right

Congratulations Chen! Good job! I was in the Swedish national rolling championship a week ago. Didn’t do to good, but the same number of points as last year. I was very very jet lagged after my trip to Canada. I should have done better, my last rolling session, before Canada, was very good. But I didn’t come last at least.

Thanks Jonas! Appreciate it! I watched your videos of the competition and it was great! It’s something that I would eventually want to do but still a long way to go.

I’d be interested to understand how big a role the kayak played in your rolling challenges. In other reviews I’ve heard that the high back of the Pakayak would make it harder to roll (perhaps with variance for different size paddlers). Not everyone wants to roll, so this may be a fine kayak for many people, so long as they understand that. I’d like to experiment with rolling, so I’m looking at an Eddyline or Stellar kayak for my next step (past my SoT) into the world of kayaking. As always thanks for sharing your experience. You have helped to motivate me.

Hi! I think for a seasoned roller, they could roll the Pakayak… I didn’t know about rolling until after I got the Pakayak. I would say my body movement was the biggest challenge and not knowing the mechanics of Greenland rolling. I believe it was made harder because I was using quite a deep kayak but then again, I was/am still a beginner :) The Pakayak is a great kayak for recreational use and for paddling fun. Definitely not everyone wants to learn the roll and just paddle :) Would be great to see your rolling journey! I always love watching people’s progress.

You have been doing amazingly my friend, and I'm sure one day you will look back at this and laugh because you will be proficient at rolling. You're doing great before I could roll with ease it tuck me about a year of practice. However it looks like you will have it down within a few months 👍 You know when you said you could feel your shoulders straining, well because of the injury I have. I don't my telling you this is what's really worrying me about rolling again. I'm worried I could end up doing permanent damage. But at least I know I can do a wet exit and entry with out any problems. But I will be trying a roll again sooner or later because I still remember how much fun they are lol
