Good stuff! Thank you for sharing. Fantastic collection. I really enjoy hearing about the research that you have done on the different razors. I hope you have a good one and take care.

Its all part of the fun I feel, I'll be moving a few one over the next few months as I've got some razors that need scales which will oust some of these, can't have to many the same..

Nice blades there. I must admit that as time goes on I prefer 5/8 11/16 blades. They give me a close comfortable shave that lasts about 9 hours . If I push for bbs I get irritation . So ccs is my norm now.

Thanks Paul some corkers in their I'd say, forgot my new favourite thought the Geo IXL I fixed up never mind. My skins changing as I get older so my preference in grinds might change my general favourite at the moment is half hollows to wedge types. Some super fine grinds and small profile are a bit snaggy when I've got a bit of gruff going on. I'll be able to test that theory as I've got a small mega thin grind "tennis" razor coming through the stones. They are known for great steel so it will be a nice little experiment.

I mudt admit the best part of a razor for me is the edge. I've had about 160 razors over the last 43 years & some of thebest have been very plain but great shavers. My current preference is 5/8 to 11/16. They are like a racing shaver 2&a touch passes & I'm done for the day.

I'm all about the metal some of my older razors and especially my new to me Geo Wostenholm that I did the micro peening on to fix the scales has just got the very best razor steel & just shaves like a dream. What those old boys knew about steel is just remarkable especially when it was from the days knowing it through their senses, touch feel noise and even smell. I do believe the Geo razors definitely used a lot of Swedish ore as nearly everyone I've honed is just different from the run of the mill Sheffield razors and some Sheffield makers grouped up and brought Swedish ore in bulk over 5 tonnes a year in some cases, couple of the other s that stand out on my stones are the Joseph Eliot's and Rodgers razors. I sometimes do the same, one pass with a well honed straight is normally always good enough, just habit with me on the ATG 2nd pass, plus I like to indulge in the second pass just for indulgence sake I feel..

I use the same name as on here fella so you should be able to find it by typing Sustainashave into eBay or even a search engine. I'll be listing a few razors this weekend coming. Thanks
