I actually lost my sense of smell over a decade ago, so sniffing things is pretty pointless for me. One habit I have is whenever I leave my house I double, triple, and quadruple check my pockets to make sure I have my keys, phone, and wallet. The one time I didn't check I ended up locked outside of my house.

I never lock my doors 😅. I live so rural I've gone away leaving a glass sliding door completely open on for 3 days and come back and it's all good. Although I did get one intruder.....Rupert the hedgehog that loved the cat food, hung around for about a month until he moved on. Towards the end he'd even let me scratch his belly. I'd just leave the door open so he could come and go as he pleased

I can relate so much to the "fight over the bill" thing. My family(mainly my dad, sibling, and aunt) would when they have that fight, would end up splitting the bill. This happened so much to the point that my sister said she was going to the bathroom, and while she did that, also payed for the food😅. I also have some strange habits(or at least some I find strange), one being that if I dream about something, I'll end up doing it. It somehow makes me feel like I see the future because I do it eventually.

I have 2 weird habits 1:when I’m hungry I’ll look in the fridge and the 2 minutes later i look in the same place again and again for the whole day. 2: every time I go to a restaurant I order with my food 5 of each sauce and never use any if it so when I go home I put it in my fridge and leave it there for months until one day I find the sauce and throw it out

I also have some really strange habits, like putting the mouse cursor in the bottom-right corner of the screen before shutting down my PC, even though it anyways spawns in the center when the computer starts. And I also always roll up into a little ball on my chair at home instead of leaving my feet on the floor, so I unfortunately often get temporary back pain because I curl up too much. Maybe that's just because I try to save electricity, so my house is only at 18°C + whatever heat my body gives to the house. I have very bad-insulated windows (just two single-pane windows back to back, no vacuum isolation etc.), I'll probably replace the windows in the future because I could heat the house to 22°C without needing more energy, just because it doesn't leave the house as quickly.

The food one makes so much sense and I do it like, all the time. When I was in high school, I have a set of twin friends and they wouldn't pack their lunch but I did and whenever I had something in my lunch they liked I would give it to them because of how generous I am and I would call it "Feeding the starving children."

I am pretty sure the ears are the most used organs, if you guys sleep, which I do hope you do, your eyes are no longer being used, but your ears will still pick up stimuli from the outside world, even if you want to count dreams that occur in Rem sleep, which is a very short part of the sleep cycle anyways and wouldn't contribute much, I can still argue that technically the eyes aren't recieving the stimuli you experience as sight in a dream, rather the brain conjures the signals, now the visual cortex is still being used, but not actually picking up the stimuli, now if you want to say the sight is still being used during rem sleep and the entire sleep cycle the ears still win, because they are always picking up sounds from the outside world, even if you go to the quitest room in the world, you will still hear your organs functioning and bones and joints rotating, even if you go to space, actually your ears would pop because the vacuum would suck all the air out of your body and kill you, but if we ignore that, actually nah that is kinda hard to ignore, now I think in space sight might out last hearing, because the air would be sucked out of your eustachian tube quickly while the eyes might be ok for a bit because even after the basil tears are sucked from your eyes and your cornea dries and cracks, your optic nerve should still send signals until you lose oxygen completely, actually i conclude even if all the air was sucked from your eustachian tubes the audtiory nerve would still function until the cells die due to loss of oxygen or such,the ears despite being in a vacuum could pick up the sounds from within your own body since they dont require an atmosphere to reach you, so the eyes and ears would stop functioning at more or less the same time.

One time at college I parked on the second floor of a parking garage and walked to an entirely different building before I started doubting if I’d locked my car, so I had to walk all the way back and then go into the other building. Guilty about the door lock check. It happens me constantly that I can't remember if I locked the door on my house/car and I can't be sure unless I go back to check. To fight that I've been making the effort of avoid going through the motions and making locking doorsa fully councious endeavor. Whenever I lock a door I picture my brain recording the moment on video as if I was Robocop. That whole excercise makes it easier to recall if I locked the door when the question surfaces. Pretty much can relate to every habit from the list in some extent, but oh boy i like smelling good food. Its part of enjoying the process and can't help but prepare myself for good lunch by sniffing it before eating. Also, sometimes its just interesting to see, how much smell and taste can be different to each other, depending what dish is it and how it cooked.
