These are my strongest builds weapon combos and curios for Veteran, Ogryn, Zealot and Pysker on Darktide for Patch 13's Class overhaul update
With some perk and blessing reccomendations for the weapons I like.
I will deep dive each one later on but wanted to give everyone a strong baseline to start with so that you can get on your journey to auric maelstrom missions and damnation +

another thing for zealot, DO NOT SLEEP ON THE BUFFED EVICSERATOR, with savage sweep and rampage it cuts hordes like a hot kinfe through butter, the light attacks let you deal with bursiers and shooters/stalkers, and the heavy rev attack, aside from ogryns, either one shots things or gets them low enough for a quick light melee or ranged blast to take them out, and does good chuncks of damage vs bosses, and the rev melts kill mission boss sheilds. Its slower than the heavy sword, but nothing else gives you that giant sword rip and tear feeling like this thing does. It also has a very, very safe attack pattern of push attack + heavy or light that you can chain and basicly block eveyrthing.

For Zealot Executioner, is 10% attack speed better than 10% more melee crit with Piety? To me, it doesn't seem to make much difference in attack speed when I swing with vs. without Is Faithful Frenzy definitively better than Righteous Warrior? EDIT: holy shit attack speed is way better

I have to admit. When they were adding talent trees, i feared this game would just turn into a "one-build-to-rule-them-all" type min-max monstrosity. Honestly, i was extremely surprised and thankful that THAT was NOT the case. So many different styles to play and succeed (yes, with some being better than others, admittedly) in higher difficulties. It really put the success rate into the players' skill and capability instead of just the build. Its refreshing.

It’s not like that at all. The psyker is miles better than every other class. With a few different builds on psyker, you have the best crowd control by FAR and you also have single target damage that’s just as good as if not better than all other classes and builds. No other class can come close to psyker crowd control, and very few builds can come close to the single target damage that the psyker has. And if they do come close or similar, then they have horrible crowd control. The update was broken, the difficulty is now so challenging that if you don’t have at least one level 30 psyker on the team you stand no chance. And now that you have enemies coming from all directions at all times, crowd control is king. A team of three psykers and one ogre (purely for clutch revives and to aggro bosses and armored elites/specials) is best

@@bennyd8343 zealot can barely crowd control unless she has her fire which isn’t even amazing or close to assail because it has a decently long cooldown and enemies can walk through and get a hit or two before dying to fire. And let’s not forget that she relies on ammo which is a huge disadvantage to psyker needing no ammo or reloads (quell can be considered reload but it’s extremely fast and psyk has talents to automatically quell peril). And also the fact that zealot has to use melee to kill when u get swarmed, leaves her open to lots of opportunities for enemies to spawn behind and kill, meanwhile psyk would throw a few knives, then look around because they’re all dead. The only great thing zealot has going for it is the ability to buff everyone’s toughness. I see no reason to pick zealot over veteran, zealot is master of none and decent at everything, while at least veteran is master of killing elites and armored enemies or bosses. Crowd control can be managed by a single psyker that’s great but even if it’s a bad psyker it will make the horde manageable

@@imasealarparparparp2714 eviserator + sweeping strikes literally wipes out any horde thrown at you. The amount of impact strength you build up with the buffs sends enemies flying as fell from pushes. Stun grenades also stun in a wide area for 6 seconds

I'm playing zealot right now and using the knife/bleed combo which is veeeeery pleasing (I can spam the invisible perk almost every few seconds, it comes very handy to charge against far positionned elites) Sorry for the spelling, not english ! Despite it being probably the weakest ability for psyker's I've been really enjoying Scrier's Gaze but I always take Smite with it so that I have SOME defensive option. I just wish Disrupt Destiny was stronger cause it's such a cool concept for a keystone. Talk about a passive that changes your gameplay.

Great guides as always. Appreciate the tips on curios. This patch sure has turn things upside down, in a good way. The changes to the Brute Brainer making it a solid choice vs the butcher. Put Brutal Momentum on it and it slays. Its much more axe like. Handles Crushers and maulers better. Don't sleep on it. Great seeing the Rumbler and Fire Shooty getting some love. My weapons of choice on the Ogryn and Zealot. 🤘🤘. Since I'm your average pub stomper who plays only about an hour on the daily in Heresy, I have some thoughts on crafting. For the average player like me, this patch has taken some of the rng hell out of crafting . You can get away with much lower tied items and a wider variety of perks and blessing. You don't need to hit the power ball to have a solid weapon and be successful, at least with Ogryn with all the talent buffs to damage and rending. I'm assuming the other classes will be similar. I'm not saying the locks and random blessings need to go, but at leat now, you have a much more forgiveness and don't have be on the rng hamptser wheel trying to get a god roll so you be effective. Just this old dudes $0.02.

Wait until you max out your character at level 30 before you worry about rolling weapons. Buy the mystery weapons from Brunt, look for 70%-80% in all the stats, with "dump stat(s)" going low into the 60s if needed for a non-god roll. Upgrade to green, see if the perk is good, if so upgrade to blue, if the blessing is good then you have your weapon. Only upgrade past blue if you have your two "locked in" perk+blessings because upgrading to purple and gold is exponentially more expensive. Since you have your "anchor" perk+blessing by blue rarity it doesn't matter what your purple and gold ones are because you'll be replacing them through refining/re-blessing. Notes: Some blessings only go to III while some go to IV,. This comment is a guideline on how to efficiently use your materials gained through playing the game, if you want to use your materials in a different manner that's up to you, especially if you're going to grind out the game anyways and don't care about god rolls. I heard people talking about how the shop and Brunt's mystery weapons scaling off your highest inventory'd weapon but I can't confirm that; if that's true then buy the highest rated weapon in his shop every reset if it's higher than your best gear.

For the voidstrike staff I have been running the bottom right mini node that gives 100% crit on 5 ranged weakspot hits. If you fire the voidstrike staff at head heights you get 5 weakspot hits instantly. This then gives you a guaranteed crit which you also fire at head height. And then you take crit surge on your staff giving even more weakspot hits and guaranteed crits...It feeds itself for 100% crit as long as there is 5 enemies around

Really great guide. Curious why you didn't mention the mk VII shotgun (slug) in your executioners build. I tend to prefer it since the slug gives great stagger and range. The burning wave clear is nice but with a heavy sword equipped you have such a great response to that already.

Hello, i just returned to the game to check the patch and i got a question. there is an ammo shareing achie for veteran to replenish 5000 ammo to ally but it doesnt seem to work, the counter is at 0 after like 10 runs. i got the 1st aura and even the 50% aura distance but dosnt help. any tips for that? best regards

I definitely enjoyed the video, great info and video presentation!! One thing that would ace this for me, would be a bit of a slowdown on the speaking, especially when talent or weapon descriptions are shown... I had to jump back multiple times to actually get a proper look at stuff as you blazed through the commentary and had moved on before I could even get a pause off in time. But it's a minor thing and probably mostly cause I haven't been playing long, so I'm not so familiar with all the weapons and skills that I can identify them at a glance or by a brief reference 😅

Here to preach the good word of tanky melee support veteran It's unironically viable and straight up better at rezzing downed teammates than any other class, don't knock it til you try it and don't mald if you see this build BC they're 'playing veteran wrong' For build path: Grab all 3 middle talents (demo team, close order drill and charismatic) you can run this build with krak grenades but I use an unusual build path, you'll see why later. Then stop going down middle tree for now and start on the left tree, grab Longshot, Volley Adept, then the frag grenade, Then grab the next node on the left side, branch into middle tree and grab grenade tinkerer, then keep going down the left tree, grab Get Back in The Fight (this talent doesn't seem good but it's the only reason you won't die to bombers and tox flamers in certain runs) and we've now arrived at the reason for this wonky ass build: the fireteam aura is straight up terrible (a 3% damage boost will not alter damage breakpoints on literally anything) and you should be using the Survivalist aura in all but the meme-iest of stealth builds because that ammo regen is going to give your team much more range and utility than they'd have otherwise: and you are basically incapable of fulfilling your traditional role as a ranged damage dealer with this build (which is fine, Ogryn and zealot has largely the same issues unless you're gunlugger) so giving your team extra ammo in order to do what's normally your job feels like a fair trade off and it means that you will almost never have to grab ammo pickups unless you encounter a large group of armoured enemies After grabbing this aura you're gonna want to pivot back into the middle tree, going into the right side briefly to grab Leave No One Behind, then picking up Field Improvisation, and Demolition Stockpile, Grab Voice of Command and the right side augment that allows your shield to Rez, this is core to the build and your single best support utility, try to save it for rez unless you have to and avoid using it recklessly for the heal or CC, Keep going down the middle tree, picking up Tactical Awareness, Superiority Complex (left side augment is super valid here I just like dealing with maulers and ragers a bit more quickly because I run a ranged weapon for the express purpose of bullying Ogryn and burning down bosses anyway), Confirmed Kill, Born Leader, Rending Strikes, and finish on For the Empower! I exclusively run a chainsword with Rampage for clearing hordes and rev it up (this perk is a lynchpin of this build, having a permanent uptime movespeed stim of this level is absolutely insanely strong for enabling a build like this), and I run a boltgun in my ranged slot which has Glory Hunter and Cavalcade, which gets used very infrequently as it mostly exists as a way for me to blast down Ogryn and Armoured enemies, the crit chance becomes highly relevant when the bolter is effectively just something I pull out and mag dump into Maulers and Bullgryn (which is why I don't see the point in running krak grenades, that's what my bolter is for, you could probably use krak grenades for this purpose and run something a little different in your ranged slot, but the point of this build is lately to ignore your ranged slot anyway so I'd rather have frags for CC and horde clear, your bolter can be used to deal with snipers and shooters in a pinch but it's really not your job: your job is somewhere between a psyker and a zealot, your chainsword special is core to your playstyle and you should be using it aggressively to single out specials in a crowd, you still fulfill your role as a killer of elites and specialists: but it's the armoured frontline ones that wouldn't normally be your concern, the chainsaw special hard CC's 90% of enemies like a surge staff and kills them pretty quickly so it's kind of as if you could smite something and kill it yourself without having to rely on your teammates to follow up, with the downside of it not spreading through crowds, spammed heavy attacks at head height will clear chaffe like crazy and if your teammates ever go down or get trapped: you can instantly get a 40% movespeed boost in order to gap close, then use your shout to insta Rez them and only take 2/3rds of their normal incoming damage while they fight their way back out, your ability to dive in and make risky rezzes that swing the game is incomparable to any other class, you can also use you frags as a way to extend the stagger on your shout, if you delay all 3 properly it kill hard stagger non boss enemies for nearly 10 full seconds This build synergizes so insanely well with gun lugger it's absolutely ridiculous, the sheer number of nukes or boxes you're able to provide them when you're playing around it is ridiculous and they enable the utility of every class that much more, this build can easily be the difference between an Ogryn throwing 5 nukes in a run and 15 Remember: you are NOT a zealot, you can't be a proper frontline in the same way they can, you don't want your shield breaking, you don't want to face tank and expose yourself unnecessarily, you play corners, clear waves as they come and stay close to your team kinda like a psyker would and provide your benefit by keeping chaffe off of your ranged teammates and dashing around after special enemies with your movespeed boost, I've been running this in auric damnation runs successfully and it's an unironically really good build and playstyle if you're sick of dakka vet and want something a little more support flavoured

I run the Zealot support build, but I use the combat knife with high crit and bleed into the class ability reduction. Being able to pause the game every 10-15 seconds is amazing. BUT you have to be very comfortable dodge dancing and horde management.

@Claysthetics it was my favorite even before the update. Add in the revolver and you've got a build that lives and dies by the chance of the Emperor blessing you with crits. Very thematic.

Managed to make an amazing Scryer Gaze Psyker, keeping myself at high peril for maximum damage and protection. Dueling sword + Revolver. The revolver is essentially a quick brain pop versus most specials, and throw shards around whenever you feel like it. With the psyker ability, pop it for a boost in damage and shoot that gunner before he does anything. Shoot through enemies to get to that trapper or sniper. This psyker mostly feels like a hybrid class. A hybrid between veteran, zealot and psyker. Where in one hand, you can conserve ammo really well, and on the other hand, youre most useful against specials is using your sword or revolver. With a few extra perks you can Tank Demonhosts and other bosses. You basically will feel like the main character in the team, or just the edgelord.

Stealth zealot is the pub clutch master. Haven’t lost a match yet on auric damnation (except for the one where I dodged off a ledge)

I run a Zealot build based around sprint speed and attack speed. Paired up with my Rev 4 on my Eviscerator I'm flying through the enemies lol

Taking the 15% rending in the middle bottom, and 2.5% rending per hit up to 16x on the right bottom for Veteran makes all weapons deal with all enemies. Red braced autogun without any blessings/perks/headshots was doing 1.1k DPS on Crushers, and can spam into anything else. Infantry autoguns are also good, but the ironsights blind me. Also blue recon lasgun does 5 crits in a row when it rolls one, so you can take the rending on crit on the top right, and skip the other rending stack talent (they don't work together it seems). Not as much DPS I think, but tons of ammo.

why stamina regen and block efficiency is a must?

Trying to mix it up with my zealot. Going left for regular melee utilities, then right for cloak and backstab, then middle with martyrdom. Still unsure on how wound and their effect (missing 'wound'?) really stack up. And to top it all off, using a Thunde Hammer, trying to delete big boys and monsters. The cloak is really useful for getting your teammates back up, but overall, seems that I have a couple of things working against each other. Playing the martyrdom game is super risky in high levels, going down is pretty much a wipe, and assassin is a high risk situation. Backstab is nice on bosses, but with the hammer, have to be super accurate both in timing and strike precision to be effective, and I have high ping. Can the difference between taking 60% of heath on a boss, or a wet fart. But invis is really nice as a skill, and replenishes quickly. My build could work better with fast attack weapons, but I find then boring as hell.
