Woah! You sound just like me when it comes to math! I could never master the times tables past three and just use a calculator for algebra. I STILL add on my fingers when I have too. I just need something visual to mark the amout in my mind. I can do the actual thinking part of algebra just fine, it's just basic math I have trouble with and understading how a little squiggly line is supposed to represent how many there are of something and I keed to know extactaly what of something there is.

When people tried to stop me from using my fingers, I would just look around the room at physical objects and use them. I need something physical to indicate how many there are of something.
